Yeah it seems they cannot handle at all missing Gobert or Mitchell. Normal to a point, but they have been worse than expected.

Utah looks to be mired in the same kind of mediocrity that Portland is, only a higher level of mediocrity. That is to say they are a much better regular season team than a playoff team. They have made the playoffs 5 straight years but their playoff record is 19-26. Worse, is the 3 times they advanced to the 2nd round their record there was 3-12. They are a pretender, not a contender, at least they have been to this point

Gotta get value for CJ from some of these desperate teams. NY and NO, I'm looking at you!

The model of consistency even after his collapsed lung. He's been hovering around these same numbers for 7 years now.

Uncanny stability. No deviation whatsoever over his career.

Fournier, walker or burks, and their 1st this year

Hart, sato, Murphy and their 1st

I believe both get us out of the tax, get an ok rotational player, and a pick. Then we try to get them to bid against each other

i have less than zero interest in Fournier or his contract. Or Kemba's contract for that matter. Randle or bust from NY.

the article is a bunch of speculation and reiterates his nonsense claims about CJ being a negative asset. It also says NY will be Dame's destination if he doesn't get extended this summer.

not buying it. NO's interest in CJ might be real, but the rest of the article was bullshit.

Pincus also mentioned that we are shopping Nurk/Roco and notes that NO can simply absorb them into a TPE without giving back Portland anything in return.

    Alright then.

    lol this guy.

Dort is a tough defensive player but isnt a good shooter. And he's 6'3
If we trade CJ either solo or in a pkg we want someone 6' 8-9 for the front court. And of we do bring in another guard lets get one over 6'5 with long arms and good d skills.

Dort is one of the best defensive guards in the league.

We won't be trading for Joe Ingles (unless we decide we like our players "Pre-Injured"):

Joe Ingles Out For Season With Torn ACL
    JAN 31, 2022 2:10 PM

Joe Ingles has suffered a season-ending torn ACL in his left knee, an MRI confirmed on Monday.

Ingles has no other structural damage to his knee.

Ingles is expected to undergo surgery as soon as he gets a range of motion back in his knee and will almost certainly miss the start of the 22-23 season.

Ingles was in his final year of his contract with the Utah Jazz and had been the subject of trade rumors.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we traded for him. If he's one of the best defenders and OKC is a re-build why would they trade him?

Still think Nance is one of our more valuable chips. He’s got more value than Roco just because he’s under contract next season. Watford is showing he’s good enough to be a rotation player and I don’t see much of a fit with him and and Nance together, they essentially play the same role and have the same strengths and weaknesses.

Honestly though I only wanna clear up the guard clutter and get under the tax in the process. Other moves can wait until the offseason.

he appears to be middle of the pack and a tad bit better than Simmons at thiks point?
Looking at NBA stats he appears to be mid pack for guards and just a tad better than Simons and a tad worse than Naz.

all these dudes are dorks. Like, Jonas can’t even be traded this season but that didn’t stop Fischer from throwing him into proposals anyway. I didn’t even know he wasn’t eligible, but then again it’s not really my job to. That’s why I respect Woj and Shams. They 100% have more info than anyone else but essentially avoid speculating altogether, especially Woj.

you had me until you said Shams. That guy has been a Klutch shill all season since they bought the agency that reps him.

Great with news breaks, but Shams is not immune to using his platform to do his agency's bidding.

And we all know the Woj/Neil connection that everyone references.

All those guys are bought. Shams is pro agent/player, Woj is pro team. That’s how they get their info. But they still don’t spend the majority of their days speculating on who’s getting traded where and for whom.

fine, let's just not undervalue him and give him away. he's got a tangible skill that many teams desire, and his salary is commensurate with his production as a top ~35 ish player. If there is talk of him being a negative asset, let him play out the rest of the season and try to deal him in the summer when more teams will be interested and he'll have one less year on his contract.
