He's crap on a horrible contract. We were lucky to get a distant future 2nd for him.

36 points off 11-19 shooting, 6-11 from three, and 8-9 from the line with 5 boards, 3 assists, and 1 steal.

Total scrubs.

 

Lucky we didn't have to include a pick for such trash.

 

Nice offense game but they still lost by 24 and the last Bucks run was with Covington and Powell in the game.

 

And their team was no more competitive against the Bucks than what the Blazers threw out there last night. Empty stats.

 

Really? We are going to act like the loss to the Bucks is Norm and Rocos fault? Norm only played 24 minutes but scored 28 points. He is a damn good 4th best player on a contender. And they got him for nothing. No brainer trade for them. Stop trying to act like he was worth nothing.

 

Of course, in neither scenario were they acquired to be guys that carried their teams. Next year, presumably, Norm and maybe RoCo will be enhancing a roster with Kawhi and Paul George.

It would have been nice if our FO realized that we acquired those guys to enhance a roster built around Damian Lillard, but, with Dame's injury, the timetable slipped, so we should have traded them for assets that would have been geared to help the Blazers next year and the year after, if you even have to trade them at all.

 

That first trade is over and I’m going to assume there were some things factored in by management other than building a winning team but I’m going to look forward now. However, if we get less value for CJ than the Pacers just got I’ll lose my fucking mind.

 

I am going see how these 3 guys fit in into Billups system so something I can look forward to the rest of the year.

The turnaround in the evaluation of Powell's value by many of the same people pissing on it now is dizzying. They went from "man, what a great trade Olshey made landing Powell" to "it will be a massive failure if Portland doesn't re-sign Powell" to "man, what a great contract they re-signed Powell for" to "that is the most tradeable contract Portland has" to "Powell would be a much better running mate for Dame at SG, trade CJ". Then suddenly, 2 days ago "Powell is a mediocre player on an albatross contract", and "Keon Johnson was a 1st round draft pick, the trade wasn't bad"

 

In a loss. A blowout loss. Just like when they were in Portland. ZERO impact players.

 

What is your definition of a zero impact player?
Whatever it is, I doubt even in your definition it can be determined in one game.
