He was out last year with an injury, and the year before and before and before and before and before. But if healthy he has the potential of Ray Allen without the shooting.

There are vocal fans that no matter what believe the most current decisions this franchise makes are golden.

I supported many if not a majority of Neil's decisions but I also called him out on the dumb ones. This trade is right there with the Turner contract as one of the stupidest decisions by this organization in the last decade.

Rightly so it is being nearly universally panned by knowledgeable fans of the team. That there are a few delusional fans with a dumb supportive opinions is expected.

The biggest problem is that at least two of these people with dumb opinions are running the franchise in Joe and Jody. One bad trade in isolation is something the franchise can recover from. I fear we are starting the dark days with many terrible decisions ahead.

Stein says NY Knicks are a suitor for CJ. Randle or bust, I don't want any more trash from them.

It would have to be Randle and maybe even Noel as well since that trade doesn’t work straight up.

I don't like that at all. Substantial downgrade in talent with Noel, and his salary is a bit of an albatross next year.

I also wanna keep Nurk because I think the Nurk-Randle pairing could work, especially with a Dame-Ant backcourt.

A CJ for Randle + Gibson trade would be fine with me. Cuts another 4 mil from the books.

This is probably the most talk we've seen about CJ ever. Whether that's stemming from actual talks we've initiated, or if it's just other teams trying to fleece us because Cronin set a precedent on Friday is unclear.

So far, I've read: NO, NY, ATL, and DAL all being interested. Outside of Randle/Collins, I'm not enthusiastic of any other returns from these teams.

Noel fits more of Chauncey's playstyle. But also takes into account that Randle, even with how shitty he's been this season, probably has more value than CJ.

My guess though is they're trying to do like Fournier+Burks+Late First or some shit for CJ.

if we just dumped Norm and Roco in one deal and used those cap savings on Fournier/Burks (while also losing CJ), I'm gonna drive up to PDX and drag Cronin out of his office myself.

Almost certain this is the deal if it goes down. Add a late first and some seconds maybe. Or Quickly.

lol come on, that makes no sense. Stop peddling that bullshit. We get zero long term cap savings and take on worse players all for a pick that might not even convey this year?

I'm just saying this is the type of deal that is on the table. Not whether we should do it. Of course I would be pissed, but this is the reality of our situation especially given that absolute debacle of a deal last week.

This sounds like a very Cronin deal lol. Can’t wait to see how some of the people on this board justify quickley as the main piece that comes back.
