Why does everyone want the free agents? They suck, it's the expensive agents that will help a team.

Yes. And he was not joking at all that he thought they should've trade Dame INSTEAD. Right in line with the Olshey/Woj leaks trying to cut Dame down at the knees after he was fired.

I think the real question here is who's gonna be Dame's new drinking buddy?

has there been any declaration on what, if any, protections are on the future Pels pick to PDX if this year's pick is not conveyed?

I still think Kanter and Melo would have helped us so lot this season.

Blazers could have 15M in cap-space if they renounced the rights to NAW, McLemore, & Elleby. That's assuming 2 roster charges. BUT, Portland would have to renounce that 21M TPE from the Pels trade and the 7M TPE from the Clippers trade

I think it's pretty clear at this point their best course of action would be to use their full MLE and hold those TPE's. In a lot of cases TPE's have more value than cap-space. Now it may be, if Portland is really serious about using the TPE's, they'd have to restrict themselves to the tax-MLE because they wouldn't want to be hard-capped. That will depend on what Simons and Nurkic re-sign for

Nice! Can you also use them to select guys that didn't play in college or overseas? Or is that a requirement?

I would like to hope so, I mean I keep putting my name out there to be drafted but I never get picked.

Olshey could construct a playoff roster. All Cronin is proving to show is that he knows how to build a cellar-dweller. Personally, I'd love to see what Olshey could've brought back in comparison.

The Blazers will need the best backup they can afford for Nassir Little. If Hart stays, he can fill in there and at shooting guard.

If you give him most of the credit for being the reason we took Dame.

I can’t tell if Cronin is shit or if Neil just horribly overpaid for some of these guys….. or both.

Nobody wants these massive contracts for non-All Star guards. The Kings are trying to deal Fox and finding no takers. Small market teams panic-overspending for their marginal players never seems to work out.

I've got my reservations that Dame is someone you build around, due to his generally non-complimentary style of play. Considering we dumped pretty much the entire roster to focus on him, and how little we got for them, it's not so far-fetched to suggest that we'd of been better off keeping CJ and trading Dame.

I also feel there's probably something to the leaks around the time of Olshey's firing, simply because it ended up being a choice between Dame and everyone else. That sure hints at there being stuff going on behind the scenes.

Had to waive somebody; rather it be somebody who won't be back for two months.

Two seconds are New orleans 2025 and whichever is better of our own 2026 which had been traded a long time ago to NO or NO 2026 pick.
