It didn't say it was an agent, or even imply that. If it were an agent it would have just said agent. You say informant when it's a civilian. So a civilian at a protest informed the police of the identity of the arsonist, and other civilians who were at many protests documented the event and made it available to police. It is definitely a stretch to say that civilians at a protest (often referred to as "protestors") assisted the police.

The wweek article was about the informant... which doesn't even use the word "agent"... obviously agents were involved in some arrests, Jesus. I'd say I'm quite a bit less lost than some... There is ample evidence that civilians at protests (often referred to as "protestors") helped police document crime and identify the criminals. I've posted links which back that up. But we are aware that you don't want to believe that, so you will continue to ignore the evidence.
