We all know Morey wanted Lillard instead of McCollum for Simmons but at the time we weren't ready to trade Dame.

But now, looking at the way we are playing and the fact that Simons and Lillard are too similar such as Dame/CJ do you guys think we would have took that trade in the off-season?

    Simons
    Hart
    Little
    Simmons
    X

It certainly look like a lot of fun

Given the fact that I DON'T THINK Cronin will trade Lillard but he'll rather try to play alongside Simons, in the occurrence that he will consider trading him I don't really see a lot of stars available that makes sense for us

Ayton would be good but the Suns has already CP3

    Others...? Anthony Davis maybe!?

Here's what I thought last June.
There's a chance that Brooklyn might be prepared to give us Simmons for Dame. It kinda depends how well Simmons fits with them and how desperate Durant gets with his closing window and Kyrie being erratic. It's not ideal that pairing Kyrie and Dame would be odd, but not much odder than pairing Kyrie and Harden, and they had that combo working really well in the short time they were all healthy/sane.
    Other possibilities:
To Chicago for Lonzo, Caruso and Patrick Williams
To Golden State (last gasp for Steph, going home for Dame) for Wiggins (salary) and Kuminga (future potential). (I actually doubt Golden State would do that, but maybe if Steph really lobbied them)
To the Lakers for Westbrook (KIDDING!)

Yes, there's not much to compare with getting Simmons. But probably Morey always had his eye on Harden and would've waited it out whatever happened.

Nah. A number of us here didn't want Simmons because he's a head case and very few are actually thinking this team doesn't need or want dame any longer.
