At this point there is no resolution to this situation that doesn't cause pain. IMHO Putin is in full-blown messianic complex and only his death will stop the situation from steadily escalating. If he wins in Ukraine it will be Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany....he will never stop of his own volition.

Absolutely increased gas prices hurt. They affect almost all commodities. And naturally the worst off are hardest hit. I am not minimizing. But ...
