    What's going on in Minny?

This place is a mess. Their whole downtown is shut down practically. Majority of these once open and thriving sports bars, coffee shops and restaurants around thew arena and hotel are all GONE! Local TV guys said everything shit down during COVID and the riots..... never reopened. It's a ghost town. Hate to see it.

Don't have to live in the inner city for that. I'm out in the numbers and I got all kinds of diversity in my neighborhood. I mean, one of these is Parkrose, and one of these is Grant. Care to guess which is which?

Realtors make up their own data. It's like the stupid win share BS on the main board.

I find it hilarious when people think thier house increased in value over a month.
Do those of you bragging about your increased value understand that everyone else goes up too and so do the taxes??
Do those of you who brag not understand if you sold you would pay more for the next house in the same area, making the increased value a wash???

So really all we are doing is paying more to the government in taxes for this so called “increased value”?

how anyone sees this as a long term good thing blows my mind.

I have a friend that got his job transferred to Dallas and they sold their home in Clackamas for a little over 500k two years ago. In a suburb of Fort Worth they purchased a nice sprawling rancher for a bit over 300K with pool and 1/2 acre. I couldnt believe it, the home was nicer than his Clackamas Sunnyside home.

absolutely. Im considering the same, moving to NC. But unless one wants to move out of oregon, the increases dont mean much.

Only problem with that is that he has to live in Texas. At least it's not near Houston, so that's something.

Shouldn't this go into the What's Going On In Seattle thread? No way they move employees down to shitty Portland.
