Man this guy really loves Portland. He’s going to be that forever Blazer ambassador after he retires and probably run for mayor and win

This interview reminded me how awesome Dame is. I say trade Simons. Having both doesn’t make sense. We could get something good for Simons. I’m riding with Dame.

I do believe we could attach Ant to a pick and some to acquire solid vet front line player.

This would be a heightened Jermaine o Neal and people get skiddish. This team we would know what we have. It's a weird spot to be in.

My girlfriend's brother in law's construction company is apparently working on a mansion somewhere in Portland with a built-in recording studio. Rumor is that it's Dame's new pad. Not sure how to prove that at all, but it'd still be cool to say you helped build his crib.

Casey has hinted at and Dame himself has said somewhere that he's building a compound of sorts in the area.

True. Through a surveyor that I work with, I helped give some advice to LaMarcus Aldridge when he was looking for property to build on. I helped Channing Frye get approval for a boat dock through a contractor that I work with.

Don't worry, you will when you see what happens when we DON'T trade him.

It's great that Dame is buying what the Blazers are selling (that sounds sarcastic, maybe, but it's not) but I'm not sure that I am buying it... and I think trading Damon still makes a lot of sense. It doesn't mean I don't think he's awesome nor that I don't value him as a member of the Blazers, but I just don't see this team (when fully healthy) with a lottery pick and Grant being HCA-level good, let alone championship-level.

I think if that lottery pick is Jabari or Paolo that you're wrong. I think either of those guys, Grant, Ant, Nurk and Dame would be the most solid starting five that Dame has had and that's starting next season with whichever rookie at his floor. If Banchero or Smith hit their ceiling I think we could be a dominant multi championship team. Then there's the fact that we would have both Nas and Hart off the bench and hopefully one good big off the bench as well with the TPMLE, we could also use our other big $6M TPE and a future pick to get another impact bench player if we do what it takes to drop the conditions on the pick we owe the Bulls.

So I think Dame, Ant, Grant, Smith or Banchero, Nurk, Hart, Nas, backup TPMLE C and let's say Trendon would be the best team Dame has had with a better system than he ever had with Stotts. The one question is if Dame and Ant will have the same issues that Dame and CJ had for the previous six seasons. If they do that means we'll only be marginally better than we were the year we went to the Western Conference Finals and were swept out. If they can be better on defense because of Ant's athleticism and Chauncey's coaching plus they play together on offense making their talents more than the sum of their parts instead of less, then we have a contender.

If we don't get lucky in the lotto and Jabari and Paolo are out of reach, I don't think all is lost. I think if our front office gets really ambitious with what's available including guaranteeing the Bulls our pick so they can use up to three future first rounders along with our picks this draft that we can still end up with the best team around Dame that he's ever had. That is what this front office has said it's going to do (as far as do whatever it takes to put the best team around Dame yet) so until they don't I'm all on board with continuing the dream of winning a chip with Dame.

If Cronin is fired and we get a great return for Dame heading into the draft that includes first rounders and an established young player to go with the young talent and picks we already have, I'm going to be really sad but I'll understand the logic behind it and move forward fully supporting our team.
