The defender of Olshey-island with yet another unbelievable take. This is to the point of one wondering if he is skipping some medication he is supposed to take.

The guy who once proposed trading Clyde for Harold Minor? There is no medication that could fix his level of WTF. The most charitable explanation I can come up with is that he revels in playing a pro wrasslin' style heel.

Now now...you can't begrudge Cronin wanting a couple of guys around that he can beat in a game of HORSE.

Can we get a Billups/Cronin vs Blevins/Elleby 2-on-2 game going? Might be competitive.

I've said it before but the simplest way to think about Jaynes is that Jaynes was Canzano before Canzano was Canzano. Muckagog central

Who was it here who said watching Dwight and Canned-Hammo argue was like watching 2 eels wrestle in a bucket of slime?

I'd give up picks and filler.

I don't see why the Lakers would do this though. Would you entertain picks and filler for Dame? Of course not. The Lakers would want a Dame level player back for trading LeBron. Maybe an Anthony Simons potential star would start a discussion with them, but I don't know that they would do that. I certainly wouldn't trade Ant for LeBron from our end.

Look at all the youth the Lakers drafted but got rid of to construct their Lebron and Anthony Davis core; Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, DeAngelo Russell, Josh Hart, Larry Nance, Ivan Zubac, Alex Caruso, Jordan Clarkson, Kyle Kuzma. They actually did an amazing job drafting young talent, and an equally amazing job somehow now having none of that talent.

Maybe if the Lakers are at the bottom half of the western conference at the February 2023 deadline they consider trading LeBron. There is no way they would trade him or Davis before then, unless they are getting a star or potential star in return. Look for them to focus on trading Westbrook, Tucker, signing a tax MLE free agent, and a bunch of fluff stories of washed vet minimum guys.

If Dame only had one year left on his deal and was set on going to a specific team, we wouldn’t have much of a choice. It’s either trade him now for something decent, or have a malcontent for a season and then lose him for nothing. LeBron pretty much has all the leverage and has always been the type to use it.

I’m giving up 0 to get him, and he was drafted the same year I started kindergarten, so I love the guy. I’d rather just build what we can with Dame, Simons, Hart, and a strong lotto selection. Bronny is coming out in a couple of years, so I’d rather gamble assets for Lebron by drafting Bronny a little higher than he should. Why give up 1sts + others now for Lebron now if we probably wouldn’t even be able to compete next year? In a few years though…

Mark Cuban says LeBron James telling teams he’d sign with them if they drafted Bronny was ‘super smart’

Mark Cuban isn’t sure if he’d draft Bronny James with the Mavericks, but he thinks LeBron is wise to tell teams he wants to play with his son.

What will the financial impact be of drafting Bronny Jr. and getting LeBron for his last season in the NBA be?

    Cuban: “I don’t even know.”

    You know. You know.

    Cuban: “I really don’t!”

You have no one who has run the numbers?

Cuban: “No one who’s run the numbers. Because it’s impossible to predict. That’s, I don’t even know, how many years from now? Three? Four? Whatever it is years from now.”

Nice, so you’re pretending to just not know anything about this.

Cuban: “No! So how old is Bronny?”

He’s a junior in high school.

Cuban: “OK, so it could be three years from now, correct? Well, I mean, it wouldn’t suck. Let’s put it that way. It wouldn’t suck. But I’d rather win.”

It’s a great move by LeBron...

Cuban: “Super smart by LeBron, it really was on his part.”

...because someone is probably going to draft him a little bit higher now because you get LeBron for his farewell season.

Cuban: “Or, maybe two, or three, or four!”

Hmm. Interesting. So future Dallas Maverick.

    Cuban: (laughs) “Yeah.”

2 years left max followed by a couple years of him thinking he still has it….no thx. Plus he’s way to publicly involved in front office decisions.

Really not interested. Our team is not good enough even if we're fully healthy and add LeBron for nothing to be all that good. We should be in tank + rebuild mode, not trying to add a guy at the end of his career.

Rumor has it if you want LBJ at the end of his career you have to draft his son

I’ve heard LBJ wants to be part of the first father/son duo In NBA History
