Here's a GREAT fry sauce recipe:

    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    3 tablespoons ketchup
    3/4 teaspoon yellow prepared mustard
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 teaspoon white wine vinegar
    1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/8 teaspoon onion powder
    1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

    It's a ripoff of this:

They claim to be the inventors of fry sauce as we know it in the US. There are many Mayo-ketchup sauce variations used around the world though.

    What I make at home:

    Ketchup
    Mayo
    Pickle juice
    Worcestershire
    Old Bay

Eyeball the proportions to your liking.

I’ll replace the pickle juice with dill relish for a sandwich/burger spread.

I think there are two types of chain burger places, drive thru and sit in. Cant lump the two together, so ill rank them seperate

    Drive thru

    1. In N Out (double double)
    2. Jack in the box (jumbo jack)
    3. Carls Jr

    Sit in

    1. The Habit
    2. Shake Shack
    3. Smashburger

How much hamburger is enough? Personally, I enjoy one larger patty. The triple-stackers, etc,. are just too much beef for my taste.

    Agreed.

Though IMO it should be something more like
    1. Carls Jr
    2. Jack in the box (jumbo jack)

BTW, I'm not a big fan of buffalo-style chicken wings. Give me the dry-rubbed variety every time! I usually do those myself in a smoker. The best restaurant ones I've found are Outback's Kookaburra dry wings. Those with blue cheese dressing with a slight dip into my favorite bbq sauce are the bomb!

Do you like massive Arby's roast beef sandwiches with a little horsey sauce drizzled on?

every time I see someone dumping on in n out, I just assume it’s a bit. What’s not to like? It’s not too big, easy to eat, fresh ingredients relative to other fast food places, good bun, juicyyy.

Last 2 times we've tried in Oregon (about 6 months apart) it has been exceedingly greasy, didn't taste fresh at all, limited options and the wait was a joke.

If the food was actually better than other places I would understand it, but it's just not. I'll never be going again unless there are no other options.
