Shot a 90 at Crooked River Ranch last weekend My second time out this season. Might have been the best round I have ever played. Yeah the market is crazy here.
I used to think this was the way too. But what exactly does having your choice of president actually do for you when every. fucking. thing. He or she wants to get done is torpedoed by the Trumpers? Democrats have held power in all areas and have gotten ZILCH done to change anything substantial. There is no Democrat vs Republican where a “persuasive” activist president can have a shred of hope getting something done. They will get denied at every point. At this point the hope is probably a “Republican” who gets into office then has a wake up call and has influence over his party and actually wants to do good things. Which will happen never.
If the independent party continues to grow and the repub & dems split then maybe we could have a fair multi party race where each are given equal opportunity to debate, TV and Town Halls. The two party system is no longer viable imo. To many wackos that want to destroy one another rather than work for the people.
Very few of the next generation will ever own a home. It’s very difficult for people to get a starter home already.
They will also be running the country at some point. Hopefully they can recognize and reverse the damage the boomer generation has caused before it’s too late.
...we gotta play, my treat! I have a ton of free rounds at The Greens here in town (in exchange for helping with their website), it's a badass 18 hole executive course for anyone unfamiliar. Check them out on my website >> https://centraloregon.golf/listing/the-greens-at-redmond/
Played 9 there last Thursday. My daughter is on one of the local high school teams so play there often.
In all reality, the ones who already do or are more likely to own homes will be the ones running the country. And they'll just figure, if they could do it, why couldn't the other people? Lather, rinse, repeat
It all just starts with a small million dollar loan from your father and you too can live the American dream
Probably true. It’s enough a challenge for average people to get ahead in life that by the time they reach the plateau of home ownership, or even getting out of debt for that matter, they are about out of steam to accomplish anything else. As a person with an average middle class job who makes above the median income in this country, I’m still finding myself looking at the prospect of getting an llc and starting a side business, and probably working 7 days a week for the foreseeable future, all in hopes of making enough auxiliary income to afford a home that is modest at best. Pretty sure it wasn’t always this way. I know total burnout old school tweeker dipshits who managed to buy land and a home in the 80’s and 90’s working low level labor jobs.
There already are limits. 2008 thanks to the 2008 housing bubble. You can only carry up to 4 loans on property.
Down south and east there are States where the cost of housing ownership, as a percentage of income is much more in line with what it should be. It's tough for young people out west to afford homes unless they are married and both working.
it wasn’t always this way. If you bought a home in the 80’s and 90’s your house has quadrupled or more in value just by existing. I bought my first home in 2017, which I wish I would’ve bought a home sooner and have $150k in equity. Been running the numbers and even with a 150k down a modest 4 bedroom is running 600k which would still almost leave me with $3k a month mortgage. Our parents had their own struggles. But in the end it was a great avenue to get wealthy. I can’t say that being the same for generations to come. If I buy a 600k house 20 years from now is it going to be worth 1.4 mil? Uh no I
Democrats couldn't torpedo Trump for 4 years. Imagine if Trump weren't a dunce? We need a president who actually WANTS that change and is willing to do what it takes to make it happen.
He/she can want all they want. But if he or she is going to be automatically stonewalled no matter what, it won’t matter what their wants are or how persuasive they are. You don’t think Biden or Obama “wanted” change?
No, I actually don't. Never did. Maybe, MAYBE, Obama did at first, but certainly not Biden. Biden is basically Manchin, but dumber. No Democrat uses the bully pulpit to push meaningful change. If they do, they push for the minimum, and settle for the republican scraps.
4 predictions for the housing market in 2022, from economists and real estate pros Nothing really profound in these predictions, but still relevant.
