    There is no argument.

    Unless you think you chose to be straight. That at some point you weighed the relative merits if being gay, straight, bi, asexual or some other variant and made a conscious choice to be straight.

    My sister was born straight. Then chose to be gay. Now she's straight. I think someone in here is married to a former lesbian.

    Who's to judge, though? Y'all seem to think I'm judgemental. I'm not.

    The inference is that there were choices involved, She had not the capacity to make choices when she was born, but identified as straight from a young age. Her choice to become a lesbian happened in her 20's. She was a lesbian for 13 years, then chose to be straight. Has been ever since. She's now in her 70's.

    Could be the last one (as sly voted for), but it could also be someone who is repressing their feelings because of the fear instilled in them by their religion.

    Lots of people repress themselves because of their religious beliefs. The 60's and 70's had a lot of women who "knew their roles" because that's what their respective religious communities told them was their role.

    She has a very large network of friends. She's well loved by them, our family, and loves back in so many ways. She hasn't had a boyfriend in years, but would like one. She's pretty picky. LOL

    If she is saying she chose that then she was likely born bi.

    If it's your interpretation that she chose then it could certainly be any of the scenerios MM mentioned.

    I'm glad she found happiness.

    There are people who live their lives gay or straight then surprise! Fall in love with "wrong" gender. IMO human sexuality is a continuum with some people exclusively gay or straight but most somewhere along the line. Primary but not exclusive. Mostly opposite sex attraction but occasionally same sex and vice versa. Only in a homophobic society there is intense pressure to avoid same sex relationship.
    If a person says they found love, great. I don't give a damn the gender of the other person.

    If only there were a way to love all people and not project hate on someone because they think different than someone else. There was a guy in the Bible like that, that so called Christians claim to love and try to be like. There would be no need for an arbitrator
