I say let him go. I just don't see him ever being a serviceable NBA player. Not even a decent role player. I'd rather use that roster spot on someone with potential.
CJ is an OK player on a team NOT going anywhere cause he brings energy and such BUT if this team is really trying to reload NOT rebuild for another playoff run then I am not sure CJ fits in.
It all comes down to shooting. So far he hasn't shown any improvement. I am ok with a 2-way contract if he has a successful summer. But I can't see it.
While we are on the subject of what to do with CJ2 and Blevins, have you talked to your friends in Bangkok who are organ-leggers? 2 sets, young and healthy, meat still warm.....as long as we don't let Cronin handle the negotiations, we should make make some nice coin off the deal.
Right now we likely have Dame, Nas, Justise, Keon, Didi, Greg and Trendon under contract. Under Cronin and anyone else who is keeping Dame we will almost certainly opt into Hart for next season and re-sign Ant and Nurk. Cronin has said he has interest in re-signing Ingles. We have an early first rounder and an early second rounder, along with a late second rounder. If we kept and signed all of those picks and had the players above on the roster, that's 14 players. Even if we sell off the late second or only give him our second two way deal that's still thirteen players. If we don't use the TPE and have no avenue to use it then we'll likely use the MLE or if we want to keep our options open use the TPMLE to get another rotation player. To make that long story short, I don't think CJ has done enough for us not to give all of these guys an opportunity to help us win before we give him one, so I don't expect to see him back.
