For Zion's sake and all of ours let's hope someone can influence him to get far under 300 lbs. The dude could be very powerful given the rest of his size at around 240-250 and he'd have better endurance and durability.

You know, you don't have to be a fan of the blazers. Never seen you be one either, so there's that.

Wow, if Simmons really is coming back for game 4 of this Nets v Celtics series, I think Brooklyn can win the title this year. If the only thing they ask him to do is lock down defensively, be a secondary play maker and finish at the rim, they will be worlds better than they are right now. Right now they are pushing the hottest team in the second half of the season to its limits and possibly past them at home.

If they had to play Toronto in the second round that might be a problem because Kyrie would be out of all of the possible four games in Toronto.

Or perhaps Simmons' presence will mitigate the impact of Irving's absence in those games.

Of course, Philly is going to destroy the Raptors, so it's a moot point.

Jalen Brown’s a bad man. To think some around here wouldn’t have traded CJ for him…

at various times over the years I've had people tell me that CJ was better-than-or-wouldn't-trade-him-for Devin Booker, Zach Lavine, Donovan Mitchell, Brandon Ingram, Demar Derozan, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton. That overrating probably stoked some of my anti-MeJ bias

Blake Griffin and Aldridge don’t even sniff the court for the Nets… Interesting

I’d love to put Zach LeVine next to Dame. Any realistic way we could make it happen?

That was not me and never was me. Those guys are all better than him on both ends... I know I've been saying that we should have gotten more for CJ but not a lot more. The only reason why these guys are better than him on offense is because they have some sense of when to push their own scoring and when to defer to teammates. CJ has always had a problem with that and obviously all of these guys are better defenders than CJ but Mitchell, Booker and Ingram aren't worlds better than him like the rest of the guys. I would have easily taken any of these guys at any time that they've been in the league with CJ for CJ and would have included picks to get them and have put that idea out there many times. If it was Mitchell and we were keeping Dame, I would probably have wanted to involve another team before I put a bunch of picks on the line as well because of fit but I would've taken him for CJ in a heartbeat.

I also want to say that if Cronin has a beat on what the Hornets need and knows that Detroit would take the fifteenth pick for Grant and we trade our pick back to Charlotte for 13 and 15... I still won't love the return on the guys we sent out but at least I'll know that Cronin was playing a chess game in which he had moves in the case of other moving parts going different ways.

Enjoyed watching Pritchard help the Celts win. The kid is a baller and many in here didn't think he would pan out let alone be drafted in the first round.

At quick glance that did not appear to be the case. They’ve both us injuries but it appears that they haven’t been able to crack the rotation since.

I won't be shocked by Philly winning the series - but I am surprised it is this easy for them.

This might be good for some of us who would love an opportunity at getting Siakam.

I don't think they played much during the season until there were injuries. They are backups. It's depth like that that had people thinking they were favs to win a championship. Kind of still is?
We are two games into the first round and injuries are already starting to have effect. Booker, Middleton, Capella, Harris, Luka, Portis. Some of these are day to day and "Gametime" decision but it's obvious playoff basketball is a different animal. These guys will play through injury until they can't.

WOW Booker out for 3 weeks and now Middleton out for 4 weeks. No excuse now for James Harden and the Sixers
