I understand this is more of a commentary on Stevenson saying we are fair and then issuing an insult.

I will say if a mod had seen it before Stevenson himself deleted it, it would have been removed because it's an insult and Maris just like any other poster on here is protected against insults. Rules are rules.

I may not be an experienced debater like most of the rest of you guys, but I know what I believe in.

OK, I'll bite. Conversate with me about a position and I'll respond. That said, in many cases, someone will want to conversate about a particular topic/issue, then I'll get a pile-on. Sometimes I'll chosse to ignore the rest of the comments and keep it to one conversation. It's not a perfect science for me.

If you would make the effort to do that consistently I think you'd run into less hostility.

Next time I see you post a position I will start a conversation with you about it. I'm very open to conversation. I think more of it should be had here in the forum in place of arguments.

There is a way to address your position or the crux of a question or response regarding it while disregarding snark or sarcasm.

You trying to start an argument lol.

It will be interesting to see if he and Trump face each other in the primaries. It seems like one of the two will be the nominee for the Republicans.

    Running mates?

What do you see in DeSantis that you think would make him a good candidate for Prez? Does the lefts concerns about him, many that have been raised here give you any pause?

He's stressing freedom to his constituents. It was clear during the COVID crisis that had wasn't going to employ lockdowns, etc. That resonated with me. That, and he's not going to be bullied by left-wing politics. He's for the family and not control by the state. The family act he signed was bold and right on.

What freedom was being taken away? How is he being bullied? For the family? You mean education wise? I see alot of right wing candidates claiming they are offering family choice in schools, but aren't really offering anything tangible other than removing materials and lessons that have to do with none white straight people. You don't see the issue with that? It doesn't strike you as at all not ok?

What about the parents that want those things in school? Those books and lessons about black people in history, learning about diversity and such? Only some parents get a choice then?

Liked your post for your finding it reasonable.

It's expected and by design that most of the board now supports the mods, since they've banned or driven away all the posters who weren't so thrilled by some of their actions or non-actions.

And for those of you who don't know what Stevenson meant by condescending, it means talking down to people.

    Ha

If we got rid of all the posters who disagreed at one time or another with the mods, there would be no posters.

Everyday we (the mods) have someone complaining about something we did or didn't do. Pretty much everyone on here at sometime or the other has had something to say about an action or non action mods have taken. Its the nature of running a forum.
