I am sure you know that the cooling system is a weak spot on these cars, plastic radiator especially, so pay attention to that. Over that, it's all the normal old bmw items, whatever needs attention based on the specific car. Personally I think he e36 aged well visually. The 2.5 is a bit slow in them since they are a little heavier, but I always enjoyed driving them, although I personally like the E30 more. Congratulations, the golden years of bmw probably stretch between the 2002 to the E46, so almost any car in this range is fun.
Wifey test drove the Ford Mustang Mach-E last weekend. It was pretty nice. She said it felt heavy though. She liked the Infinity QX55 (non-Hybrid 4 cylinder) better. Didn't buy either yet. The Mach-E shut down their pre-orders. Last month, if you ordered, you could pay retail. The markups were $15k and 25k for the Mach-E at the dealership we went to. They said you could be waiting a year for one if you were able to order one and the ones they had were people who changed their mind or didn't want to wait for the order to come in. I'm still in a rental waiting for my car to come in, I'm in an Accord Hybrid and I like it a lot. The gas thing, ever since I've been in fuel efficient cars, isn't a big deal. Last week when I had an Ioniq hybrid rental, I let the rental place fill up my tank and it was only $16 or something. I think right now, if you can get a hybrid car, that's the sweet spot. You get 40+ miles per gallon.
This car in one word: Snappy Glad I have some overlap with another vehicle. Going to put this in the garage and clean the hell out of it. Finding a rear diff is going to be tough, I think a rebuild is the move. More than anything, I'm stoked to not have a car payment!
in a CRV Hybrid this week, kind of a boring car compared to the little Hyundai. Its comfortable but a bit boring. Got 34 mpg in city driving.
When's your birthday? Because I bet your mom is going to send you a car seat. Better get started on those babies!
I'll probably go to San Diego tommorow for a day trip. I drove quite a bit today. Trying to do the break in before heading to Espana.
I was on a jury once where a guy ripped off a car that was locked with The Club. Turns out it’s really easy to avoid the hardened steel of The Club by hacksawing through the steering wheel.
