Wars will be fought in the name of Elon for a thousand years. Crusades. Believers will be saved and infidels will burn for eternity.
Hard to understand why he would pay $44B for something so ‘meh who cares I just want an edit button’. There’s so much more to it. I don’t get acting like he just bought the Sacramento Bee. It’s Twitter.
You don’t know why a tech billionaire would try to acquire a tech company? Its really that hard to understand? It’s really just a giant conspiracy to inject racism and hate speech into the public discourse?
Uh no I do know why. I was reasoning to Phats - ‘everything will probably stay the same but an edit button’. I literally said there’s so much more to it. I don’t think it’s a giant conspiracy. The opposite. It’s a blatant attempt to do so.
If even one person gets punched because some wack-job thinks Elon gave them the right to punch people, it's too much.
Aren't there people out there claiming its OK to punch people who they've determined to be "Nazis"? Also, anyone who thinks Elon can give anybody any rights at all is going to do stupid things regardless of whatever idiotic reason they adopt. I don't blame an idiot's claimed or perceived motivation for their idiocy; I blame the idiot.
Because the long time CEO, and his good friend, told him it needed to be privately owned rather than publicly owned. From what I've been able to gather, he believes the board was the problem keeping Twitter from reaching its potential. Making it too slow to adapt. Largely because Dorsey told him so. $44 billion for Musk is like most people buying a used pickup truck. It's a decent amount of money, but it's not going to break him. And it could turn into a good investment if he plays his cards right. But he's not going to put his own freedom on the line for it. And removing all pretections on Twitter would do that. It would likely also crater his investment by running off the people who actually make content. Musk isn't the richest man in the world because he makes things unpopular. I don't think he wants to make Twitter less popular. And he really doesn't have a lot of spare time to spend on sweeping changes.
I rarely use Twitter, sometimes for live or breaking news, if I'm looking for a specific persons take on a topic, Wojbombs of course, my favorite sports teams, and my friends I guess. All this to say, I just tried to log on and I can't access on my Pixel 6pro. Updated the app, force quit, nothing. The browser works but I'm curious if anyone else is having this problem..
State of the Billionaire Press: Concerns over Media Objectivity after Bill Gates Gives $319 Million to News Outlets https://www.projectcensored.org/sta...bill-gates-gives-319-million-to-news-outlets/
Seems somewhat plausible, actually. Seems like a lot of people are interested in belonging to a cult lately. barfo
Well duh! If they would have done that they would have had to change their name to the Expensivemasons. Do you know how hard it was to order business cards in the 13th century?!?
