Another give in the ass. Lose the Pels pick, and then fall back.

    Who do we take?

We won’t even get Murray there. This has AJ written all over it. Blow it up again.

Do we trade down with a team that has multiple picks and use one for Grant and one for ourself?

AJ Griffin or Murray will be there unless Sharpe totally stinks in his workouts.

gonna be interesting what other teams do.

if Ivey drops to 4, does SAC take him or try to move down? Maybe not a target for us, but the value proposition would be interesting

I'd target that #12 from OKC. 7 for 12 + 30 + 34+ future first? Send 12 to DET for Grant. Keep the other assets around.

CHA now has 13 and 15. 7 for 13+ 15 would be fine by me. Send one of them for Grant, keep the other.

The name of the game now has to be asset play and maximizing as much as we can to enable future S&Ts or player trades. The lazy thing to do would be to trade #7 for Grant while leaving the cupboard bare for future moves. Seems like the Cronin thing to do.

Instead of a possible Top-4 and another pick ~#11, we get a single pick at #7. The basketball gods don't like us....again.

I think the draft starts at 4.

Top 3 are going to go to ORL/OKC/HOU in some order.

    4. SAC-- Ivey; do they take ANOTHER lead guard who is ineffective off ball?

    5. DET -- Sharpe, think they swing for the fences.

    6. IND -- Murray. seems like an typical uninspiring Indiana player.

    7. POR -- I like Eason/Davis/Mathurin all pretty equally. Need to see what happens in interviews/workouts.

    8. NOP -- I think they trade this.

    9. SAS -- Mathurin seems like a Spursy player but they've got quite a few young wings already.

    10. WAS -- Duren

NO winning that play-in over a Covid infected Clipper team was the real gut punch. But I really don't think there is much difference between #4 or #7 in this draft. Missing out on top 3 sucks, as it would have made Cronin's job easier, but this is OK. At least we didn't drop to 8, 9, 10.
