YeS, wHaT a DiSaStEr We MoVeD dOwN oNe WhOlE pIcK oH nO! This is soooo much worse than losing in the play-in perhaps with career-ending injuries to the guys who would have played for all we know. Frankly, my scenario of an injury that lingers into next season or beyond, is wayyyy more likely than us making it past the first round. Mein Got!
Soooo are you a Season ticket holder or just someone who doesn't understand the NBA lottery? Seems like the latter eh? IDGAF about the exact price of upper deck season tickets which is irrelevant anyways cause your point is dead wrong and you're damn right I stay home and watch it for free. I love going to live games in seasons that matter we haven't had one in a while. I watched WCF against Magic and the Lakers in 1991, I watched WCF vs Kobe and Shaq in 2000. Only WCF appearance I've missed since I've been alive was against GSW for the beat down (what's the point of that?) and then the 1990 WCF because I was like 12 and my dad wouldn't throw down the cash that year. I saw Roy's hand switch against Bosh from 7 rows back and have seen innumerable games, but again unless you are a season ticket holder you have zero reason/right to complain so yeah.
Especially since they need Grant off their books, and he's not in their plans going forward. There's a price for cap relief.
Do they get the pick next year if we're not in the lottery or does it convey to a second round pick after this year?
I don't know what you're saying. Are you implying that we also send players and other future draft assets? If so what player(s) and what asset(s)?
I don't actually think they'd want Hart because he's not in that window that so many of the players on that roster are in and is why they're going to unload Grant but probably fuck us over while they do it.
Looks like it's lottery protected from 2022-2028 then after that it conveys to a second round pick. https://www.prosportstransactions.com/basketball/DraftTrades/Future/Blazers.htm
I think they're looking for players in the same age range as 90% of their team and he isn't. I don't think they want him to walk for nothing at the end of next season. They're not going to give him the extension that he wants or even anything close to it. So they're going to move him. The real question is how little will they take for him and how much more than that can they get out of Cronin?
