Who is taking Ivey? I never ever would've thought there was a chance he'd fall to 7, but you could make a case 4-6 don't take him. That would drastically increase the value of the 7th pick.

Man if Ivey fell to us I'd absolutely draft him there and maybe even keep him and let him and Ant battle it out to see who starts and trade the other for a wing.

You have to remember who our gm is. He likes getting a poor return for assets. Our ownership likes that also because they rewarded him a 4 year contract without even interviewing a single other candidate.

I don't like Cronin being our GM either but I will venture to guess that he's far different when he's in buy mode than he was when he was in sell mode.

We might be sleeping on Mathurin, he’s the guy that could skyrocket in the pre draft process.

I've loved him from the beginning. A lot of people around here have not.

I'm not sleeping on Mathurin, check out the post I just made. I agree with you on Duren being a great target for us!

I don’t really want Griffin but having a healthy Dame/Ant/Griffin playing 1-3 is really pick ur poison. It would be reigning 3s.

I did post an idea a couple days ago that I don't necessarily like. We could see us trading our pick back to the Hornets like a lot of my ideas start, for the 13 and 15. We might then send 13 to Detroit for Grant and send 15 and the Bucks pick along with Bledsoe to the Knicks for Randle.

I would trade 7 for Wood and 17.

All these points can be made about the 10th pick too.

How about the #7 for Grant and a future 1st? If both sides are motivated there are a lot of different assets that could be swapped to balance things.

Granted it's highlights, but he's real impressive. Two way player with size and athleticism who can shoot from 3 and be imposing in the paint. He looks to be a great finisher at the hoop. Thanks for enlightenment on this talented player.

7 was not good news. Not suck-tastic of 8, 9, 10, but I could see a really good player at 6 or better.
7 and Grant in the same sentence is not an option. Just say no.
One of Murray or Sharpe could be at 7 ... it just takes one GM at 5 or 6 to fall in love with a Dieng, Daniels, Mathurin ...

I'll hope for an "understanding" about/with Ayton's agent and the Suns ... or OG Anunoby being the odd-forward-out who fits under the TPE.
But I do like the draft, and the hope it brings.

If we did send the 7th pick to Houston for Wood and the 17th and then could strike gold with someone pretty developed like Agbaji or on the opposite side of the spectrum a pretty unknown but intriguing prospect like Jovic, then we'd be a team that we could expect to be better than we've been during the Olshey years.
