Fastbreak has the worst trade ideas and they're rarely in touch with player values... not that I am or anything but they just churn out tons of trade ideas many of which are unrealistic. Jerami Grant is not worth the seventh pick and so he's definitely not worth the seventh pick and a prospect like Keon even if Keon isn't the most valuable of players.

Im not advocating to do this trade just saw it on line and passed it on.
The net is full of speculation and predictions.
Id rather have Murray than Grant.
Id rather have Collins than Grant but if Dame wants Grant?

If that’s the case Dame to Sac for Sabonis/Fox/#4 works for me.

I think Grant would be fine at the 3.

Not interested in Fox. If we deal Dame, Simons takes over at PG.

Ahh yes, the vision that sees a $5 bill and perceives it as a $1 bill. I think you are one of the people who is blinded by hatred for Olshey and thus not close to rational.

It's not hatred for Olshey so much as massive respect for Cronin.

It is common for people to have biases. If someone has talked to someone and had good interactions, that can totally give someone rose colored glasses.

That's ok. Just admit it. It is unreasonable to think we will be next years Mavericks.

Except their star is on the upswing and far better than Dame was at the same age. Brighter future.

I don't think we had the possibility of a 1 year fix unless we could have swung CJ for Simmons, allowing us to tank.

Big gamble (and had CJ punching way over his head value wise), but I think if we could have added a motivated Simmons and #7 to last years team we'd have been close enough to trade ourselves into competing over the off season.

We wouldn't have to keep Fox, though. He'd be a candidate to flip to another team that might bring back something useful.

Oh wait, I forgot Cronin would be making that trade. We'd probably get back a half-eaten bag of chips.

Fox/Hart/Winslow/Sabonis/Chet and don't sign Simons or Nurk? Then suck enough to get Victor?

Let's get Keegan Murray at pick 7 and forget about Jerami Grant!

CJ for Simmons might have got us close to contending. Probably still another move away, but it would've at least made our roster interesting. Should we have given up the 3 first round picks in retrospect? Maybe. Although its not like Simmons has lit the world on fire.

The year prior we probably could have traded CJ for Harden, and years back Paul George. We would've had to add extra picks or value to a trade, but he could've been our version of Demar DeRozen the Raptors used to bring in Kawhi and win a title.

Instead now we have Eric Bledsoe or a trade exception. Thats the problem with Cronins deadline moves, not only did we lose talent in the trades but we also lost the opportunity cost of a decent or good trade.

I don't think we were ever going to get Harden out of CJ. Hart is far closer to CJ in value than CJ is to Harden or Simmons.

There was maybe a remote chance for Simmons, but a deal like that went out the door when Philly wouldn't consider the swap... And Dame wasn't interested in waiting longer to get serious. We just didn't have the time to wait for the next remote opportunity to swing at a distressed All Star.

I also agree tgst CJ for Simmons wasn't enough to make us contenders.
