I found this to be informative. Not about Grandmother's, though I feel the same as you, but about these things in general. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/t...took-place-95-years-ago/ar-AAXG91j?li=BBnbfcL
I don't think so. I think it's because they wanted the people to be as powerful as any military. So they would be a formidable force against any threat, foreign or domestic.
We have the National Guard, I consider that a well regulated militia. That's as far as I think it needed to go, but alas, none of us were the framers.
Honestly. You are one of my favorite posters ever. This ain’t the day to even come close to defending guns
I feel the same way about this dude…… but he does this every two weeks when there is a mass shooting of innocent people.
At Least 18 Children, 3 Adults Killed in Texas Elementary School Shooting "They fucking failed our kids again," the father of a Parkland massacre victim fumed. "How many more times are we gonna sit back?... How many more times?" https://www.commondreams.org/news/2...dults-killed-texas-elementary-school-shooting
Yeah, I saw that on Wikipedia the other day. Really something but I don't think it really relates to today's mass killings. Idk.
It's clear they also didn't want women to vote and valued blacks as less than a full person. Why is it were able to make changes to their backwards thinking on some things, but on others, we go off of the thinking of guys from 250 years ago and seem to deem them infallible. Fuck what they wanted if times change and change is warranted.
I appreciate that. And I feel the same way. However, I'm not defending guns. I'm pointing out that going after guns is a waste of time and energy. Buying into a farce that we can somehow get rid of 400 million guns, or somehow make special laws that criminals will follow is not reasonable or logical. I'd love to actually get people discussing policies which actually have a chance to save some lives. But that's not going to happen until we discussion the policies people want to discuss... So again, I'm always open to to the conversation. When something like this happens it bothers me as much as it bothers any of you. And I'd like to see efforts made to stop these things. I just don't understand why people insist on focusing on things which cannot happen.
