Jonathan Smith: CBS Sports voters have always been big fans of Smith, and that certainly wasn't going to change after he led the Beavers to their first bowl game since 2013. It's been a slow and steady climb for Smith, and his program recovered well from a step back during 2020 to get to a bowl and finish with a winning record in the Pac-12. It's the first time the Beavers have done that since 2012. 2021 rank: 56 (+19)
no, he has a Head Coaching track record and that matters for ridiculous offseason lists like this. A year from now the rankings will be different but really who cares about this? STOMP
Sorry if I came off heavy, I just find these offseason lists silly as they're just some guy's opinion that carry zero weight about anything that matters towards winning games. I'd feel the same if Oregon's coach topped the list. STOMP
Ashton Cozart, 4-star receiver, flips commitment from Oklahoma to Oregon Ducks https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/20...commitment-from-oklahoma-to-oregon-ducks.html
Elite prospects who've scheduled Official Visits include... #7 Overall recruit DE/WR Samuel M'Pemba of Florida. #10 Overall recruit DE Jayden Wayne of Washington #12 Overall recruit OT Kadyn Proctor of Iowa #28 Overall recruit RB Richard Young of Florida The #2 Overall recruit is DT David Hicks from Texas. Following his Spring unofficial visit to Eugene he said..."I feel like Oregon has been my dream school since I was a little kid and I always thought highly of Oregon. They definitely met my expectations and maybe exceeded them." Additionally by my count there are 6 more guys within rivals top 30 recruits who are said to be considering taking official visits this summer/fall. I'll say it again, I have never seen this much Duck interest from top prospects. STOMP
….and people thought Cristobal was a great recruiter. Lanning is better. Plus his offense won’t be so vanilla. Home run hire thus far by Mullen’s.

I know baseball is the focus of that other thread, but the Ducks' squad is also in the playoffs. Though that could be over this morning-- they face Louisville in an elimination game at 9am today. Go Ducks!
Just terrible. And I see people claiming that the batter should have swung at the third one after the first two, but seriously, how was he supposed to reach it?
Wholly fuck what the fuck was that. It looked like they were trying to intentionally walk him but the ump kept calling strikes. Like he was basing the call on the location of the catcher instead of the plate. I have never seen anything that egregious.
Someone needs to check that umps bank account. I haven't seen anything that bad since the 2000-2002 NBA.
