Police felt that some of the shots were an enticement by the shooter to get the police to commit suicide by cop. SO?!? He's shooting up a fucking school. Who cares if he wants to die, he deserves to die.
I know. That's why we need to focus our efforts on the most effective policies. You might have to call it "Security For Schools" or something so they have to go on record as votong against security for schools... But then you'd have to convince the Turtle to actually allow a vote. If we removed 1 gun per minute, every day, all day, it would take us 600 years to remove guns from the equation here in the US. This is not a logistically feasible option. We will never get universal background checks in this country. Too many states will fight it, and then they will just refuse to enforce it...
Well, in 18th century parlance arms was a musket, not an AR15. Can't have all sides of the bread buttered and not dirty your hands...
I'm not sure there is political will for multiple solutions. In fact, I think there is not. I'm advocating for us to push for the most quickly effective and feasible solutions possible.
Someone should tell mom to shut the fuck up. Mother of Texas school shooter tearfully begs people not to judge her son and says she 'wants the innocent children who died to forgive her': 'I know he had his reasons for doing what he did' Robb Elementary School shooter Salvador Ramos' mother, Adriana Reyes, said that her son 'had his reasons' for shooting 21 people dead 'He had his reasons for doing what he did and please don't judge him', she said 'I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me. Forgive me, forgive my son' Reyes said that she had a good relationship with her son and that he didn't have many friends https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...Mother-shooter-asks-people-not-judge-son.html
So, in the new timeline the suspect was killed sooner, but the 911 phone call timeline shows he was killed later. Fuzzy math.
They didn't say musket, they said militia and wanted it effective. Militia is the civilian equivalent to infantry. Thereby, civilians are encouraged to own and train with weapons equivalent to the average infantry soldier...
'Clearly it was the wrong decision': Top Texas cop breaks down in tears as he reveals 19 officers stood outside classroom where gunman trapped victims doing NOTHING because Uvalde police chief thought everyone was dead despite ongoing 911 calls Texas DPT Lt Chris Olivarez claimed said on Thursday night cops hung back after Salvador Ramos opened fire because they didn't want to get shot themselves He then appeared to suggest it was a tactical decision by the police to trap the gunman in the classroom where he slaughtered 19 kids and two teachers Cops previously said the gunman barricaded himself in the room and anonymous law enforcement sources said they couldn't get in without a key It left the gunman alone with the group of kids and teachers for an hour and meant some kids bled out from their injuries School resource officers and police experts say it was a 'disgusting' decision that should never have been made Doctors say the leading cause of death in gunshot wound victims is bleeding out which happens in 5 minutes At least two of the 19 kids who died on Tuesday died on their way to the hospital for treatment an hour after being shot https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...olice-no-effort-enter-shooting-classroom.html
Leads me to believe maybe there was no A/C in the school? Fresh air is nice, but you just can't have that...
Or there was an awards assembly for students and parents that morning and parents were entering and leaving the school. The bigger question is why was the armed school officer not at the school?
