Tell them to get good grades. My daughter has a $35000 per year scholarship towards her tuition at U of A which will cover the tuition all 4 years and has other scholarships for housing. All because she has a 4.25 GPA and going into a STEM Program.
With that high of a GPA they're going to claim she is on the football team. Bring up the team cumulative up to .5.
I was going to ask the same thing. He had a spiralized(sp?) leg fracture, didn't he? How'd that recovery go?
Yes football is done. Still taking classes, but is working full time and just being 20 and living life in LA. He’s like me, he’ll take some time and then realize it will be time to crack down.
Ya it was bad. Came back played some JC ball, but he said it never quite felt right. Just glad he didn’t get hurt again before finishing. Of coarse he thought he should have been drafted by the cowboys.
Actually trying to get him to get into a trade like plumbing, electrical or construction. Tough to tell a 20 year old who never quite got school that though. He’ll figure it out. I just told him don’t wait til he’s 26 to go back to school.
Hired a plumber within the last year to do a pretty basic job. It was not cheap. The journeyman had an apprentice along with him, and the kid was loving his job (and the wages). He said the plumber's apprenticeship program is begging for people to sign up. Trades wise, I wish it had been so wide open when I was your son's age.......
