dame also did a solo workout here and when asked about it, he said he liked the idea of having the entire focus and pressure on solely him and not others. he also didn't want to duck any drills so that they could work him out harder, rather than sharing the workload. i think the solo workouts also give teams more of a chance to get closer and interview the guys in house which could be useful.

on most of these guys, there's enough footage of them going up against competition that it's not like Yi going up against a chair is the only time FOs have seen them.

I kinda like the idea of individual workouts.

Sorry to make too much of this clip, but this is terrible.

Every attempt looks different as his stroke seems hard to replicate. It's also like everything else about him: slow and mechanical.

We better not draft him. Unlike my feelings about drafting Duren only if we move back, I just don't want Griffin anywhere. Period.

OK, this is a first to see a guy of Dame's stature directly involved in predraft workouts.

Check out the stories on the team's ig:

this makes me feel slightly better that trading the pick for whoever has the best offer on draft night is not a foregone conclusion—that if we like someone, we’re secure enough to draft that player instead of desperately flipping it for whatever vet is being offered.

He has a lot of lower body movement. On every shot he jumps forward ~2 feet.

He has an outstanding shooting % in college, but I dont think it translates

Ha , you clearly are not the only one on this board that is overthinking things when it comes to critiquing these kids.

AJ Griffin's shooting numbers are incredible. 44.7% 3-point shooting on 4.1 attempts per game, 54.7% on 2-pointers, and 79.2 % on free throws.
    You're not overthinking it.

Go to the 7:11 mark in this video. It's not pretty.

I'm done for the most part questioning mechanics when we're dealing with this level of shooter.

I had issues with Desmond Bane mechanically and he's already one of the best shooters in the league.

And this is why I want nothing to do with Sharpe.

With Griffen we at least have history of him playing 5-on-5 against real competition.

weird logic, probably how one ends up drafting CJ McCollum over Giannis.

Per PD Web (Great Twitter follow, now works at Cerebrosports, helping scout and build high school stat databases) has AJ Griffin's career HS/EYBL 3p% at 43.9% (61 games 108/246).

Dame did a solo workout with every team before the 2012 workout.

I'm more concerned with Sharpe working out period, don't really care if it's solo or otherwise.

The only team I've gotten wind of is that he's going to do one with the Pistons (and apparently the Pels).

    In AJ Griffin's last 10 games at Duke, on 3-point shots, he shot: 1-3, 1-3, 0-1, 4-6, 1-8, 2-7, 1-3, 3-7, 2-3, 0-4. That's 15 - 45, which is 33 percent.

Started out like a house of fire, but dramatically cooled off towards the end to be sure.
