I think it’ll be Daniels if they stay at 7, and Duren if they trade down.

Doubt it’s a smokescreen. If you watched him at all for LSU you could tell he has the BBIQ of a fish.

    I'd prefer
A player’s height isn’t an opinion. He measured 6’6.0” barefoot at the combine, so that’s his height

I think he could contribute soon too, but my concern is his jumper. That’s what’s largely going to determine how effective he is and what sort of role he earns

Definitely a concern for all players, especially non-centers. If all they can do is play defense and pass the ball they won't get much playing time. It'll just be a taller version of Chris Dunn or Dennis Smith Jr.
That is why I think Jalen Duren does not have the lowest floor compared to the top 10 prospects, especially compared to Daniels.
Duren's height / athleticism / strength will at least allow him to score at the hoop in the NBA. See the effect that a gimpy Robert Williams III is having in the finals simply by playing defense, rebounding and scoring at the hoop.

Wut, that’s pretty much all Billups prioritizes.

I prefer another position. But I have had a feeling that this will be our guy for a few weeks now.
I think a couple of others will pass him.

Yeah, obviously I'm not thrilled at the idea of drafting another guard.... but it seems like most of the really talented forwards will be gone by 7, and then the next tier of forwards would really be a reach at that spot.

I realize that barefooted he's 6'6". All these guys state their measurement with shoes on and yes, everyone knows that there could be variances in shoe height, bfd.

he's 6'4.25" w/o shoes with a 7' wingspan and 8'8 standing reach. his profile is quite similar to Nas'.

and with a ~45 inch vert, i think he can play 2/3 just fine.

Another similar body type (and frankly, game comp) is Jaylen Brown, who is an inch taller w/o shoes but the same wingspan and standing reach.

Edit: that said.... Im still scared as hell of drafting him.

Really? Just passing and defense? Interesting.

They could do this passing routine in center court each possession until the shot clock runs out, then get back on defense....

Edit: I think Billups emphasizes passing and defense among players who can score. He's not going to play a guy much who can't score if he has other options.

If you state the moon is made of cheese should I believe you because you said so? And no, not all players publicly lie about their height. In every other athletic profession, your height is what you measure barefoot... because thats how tall you are. Why in the world should lying about your height be the established norm? Why shouldn't they lie about their weight & other measurements too? Isn't his wingspan like 8'?

Who cares? How about the people who like debating NBA players and need some common facts to talk around? I care because you're claiming this 6'6 195 lb guy is going to guard Power Forwards. Btw, his shot is questionable.

Geez Louise...never said they lie but that many players give height in shoes. Many of the sites that give player profiles and such show player heights and many are w/shoes on.
What is Dame Lillards height on most sites?

NBA.com lists Dame at 6'2 195. At the 2012 combine Dame came in at 6'1.75" barefoot 189 lbs. Not a liar. You want to round up 1/2"? fine. 3/4"? Odd. Anything after that? Nope. 2"? Really?
