If we come away from this off-season with OG, Collins and everyone that's currently on the roster I will be very hopeful. That's two 24 year olds who have already proved that they can produce at a really high level in the league and there would be no reason to think that there isn't significant upside to the best we've seen out of them. That being said is Toronto willing to leave their cupboard completely bare at shooting guard for Gobert? That's the only team I could see having a legitimate problem with this trade.
Capela and the 7 for Gobert is a good deal for the Jazz. I would agree that the Hawks seem to be giving up a lot here, given that they don't save a ton here since (as @RR7 mentioned) Gallo is only guaranteed for 5M. The Blazers' part in a deal like this would be to facilitate the other teams getting what they want. But I don't think the Hawks quite do here.
every single one of the scenarios has been rumored. I think the Hawks would need a bit more, but it's a start.
I don't know if the seventh and thirty sixth picks in this draft, a future first and a TPE that we've put a lot of value on is giving up so little that we'd get laughed at but getting OG and Collins for that would be a pretty phenominal haul. I think most GMs around the league just want to get better while keeping future draft assets. The only GM that might not be is Masai... I don't know if he's getting enough back to leave a gaping hole at SG.
i dunno. i'd think turning Capela and Collins into Trent, future assets, and near max capspace would be OK. Maybe need to send Keon + Watford/Brown their way.
Talent upgrade yes. However, key question is how much they will play? Collins since his rookie season has missed 21, 41, 19 & 28 games in each of the subsequent year. OG the last two years has missed 39 & 34 games. I don't mind the talent upgrade but talent you can't count on using isn't very helpful. There is much talk about how good Nas could possibly be if only he could stay healthy. The games he has played the past two years corresponds almost exactly with OG. Do you want to trade away picks to get guys that will, in theory, make the team better but are not necessarily going to actually plan enough games to make the difference we hope? Obviously I am not a huge fan of giving away picks for players that may be waving towels from the bench while sitting next to Keljin Blevins.

The Hawks need more perimeter defenders, and he’s arguably the best one in the draft. Additionally, Daniels’ ability to be a playmaker with a point guard’s handle should be intriguing to Atlanta. Daniels isn’t the perfect prospect — he shot 25.5 percent on 3s and 73.7 percent on his free throws, and he isn’t too explosive of an athlete. The Hawks should be looking to find players who fit long term with Young, and there may not be a better option than Daniels. He’s long, a great passer and has positional versatility defensively. That’s what the Hawks need more of.

Looooooooooooonnnng story but.........I had to drive one almost identical to the above ocean liner when I was 16 years old (and just licensed). I was "assigned" to drive a carload (the damn thing holds a frickin' battalion) of younger kids from Cannon Beach to Seaside, while the old folks stayed at CB drinking, BBQing and adulting. "Tank" doesn't even begin to describe it. It made my dad's Ford LTD look like a Mini Cooper. I have spent the past 4-5 decades wondering how any of us were able to wheel those monsters around back in the day. Geez, you had to start turning the wheels about 3 blocks from the corner just to make the turn......

Doesn't matter the reason they were missed, just the fact that they were missed. Injury or for other reason, if players are consistently missing games, it is not good.
Doubt it’s true but he’s a different prospect if he is indeed a full 6’11”/7’0” in shoes. You’re now talking new-school center
