Fischer clarified the Dort + 12 for 7 rumor. He said he's getting all his news from OKC side and they wanted Jake to mention that Portland is the one making the call for that, not the other way around. He also said that there's a ton of noise coming from OKC around this time each year and most of it is just smoke screens.
If the Blazers can't find the right deal, they shouldn't make one. Having whoever is drafted at 7 at his age and salary is a huge value to any team who trades their star. Just like Gary Trent had way more value in a trade for a star than Norman Powell.
The first word of the post you're responding to is obviously because there would have to be two seperate moves one being the draft day move and the other being a move at the start of free agency, since there is a sign and trade involved. I have no idea why you posted this twice, it's addressed in my post before Nurk is mentioned.
That’s all well and good, but did you know that Nurkic is a free agent and that he can’t be traded away at the draft? Answer the question!!!
I want Collins and Duren, not sure how that happens but I like…. Dame Ant Nas Collins Duren When it fails we trade Dame and add a lot of assets to that young core. 7 for Collins/16 16/? for 11(Duran)
Toronto says no and this is extremely unrealistic. If Nurkic doesn't want to go to Toronto or Toronto doesn't value him for OG (likely), then we're stuck with Randle who's a terrible fit and have done nothing to add a point of attack defender.
OK, so OG for two first round draft picks or more (because I allotted for more) and Nurk is unrealistic. First of all the only thing that Toronto really needs right now is a true big and secondly how many fucking picks do you think they can get for OG?
Funnily enough, compared to other NBA Finals I don't think this one was all that impressive in terms of the quality of play. Dame is healthy for the first time in his prime. Simons has shown legitimate star potential. If Dame/CJ/Aminu/Harkless/Kanter can make the WCF, I want to see what a healthy Dame, Simons, Nurkic, Hart, and whatever we get with our 7th pick can do.
I don't know how many fucking picks they can get, but in terms of first round picks, I don't think that's what they're looking for. I think they keep OG or trade him for a similar caliber big or better. Plus, it's very likely that the Blazers and Nurkic have a handshake agreement in place which is why Nurkic sat out the final two months of a contract year.
Honestly, Atlanta and Toronto should just trade OG for Collins. Toronto can have Collins play a stretch 5 (he's better defensively as a run protector anyway), and Atlanta can run out an OG/Hunter/Capela frontcourt.
As has been said before, the Blake Griffin and Chris Paul injuries are the worst thing to happen to this franchise
I'm a HUGE OG fan. But I've also been seeing glimpses from Nassir which have me hoping he has some similar upside.
It's even clearer hen you compare year 3 OG vs year 3 Nassir. OG. 29,9 minutes, 10,6 pts, 5,3 rebs, 1,4 stl, 0,7 blk. Nas. 25,9 minutes, 9,8 pts, 5,6 rebs, 0,6 stl, 0,9 blk. And Nassir is 1 year younger than OG. That doesn't mean they are the same players and that Nas will have the same defensive impact as OG. But this hope is not irrational.
