Ppl are gonna hate my comps but it’s a bigger Jason Kidd or I actually like his comp where he compares himself to Lonzo Ball. But I think it’s more a Lonzo / Tony Parker since he’s got the TP floater, which will make him better than Lonzo. More like what people thought Lonzo would be.

This ISNT a comp but he reminds me of Tim Duncan. Just plays the right way and constantly does all the right things. Isn’t flashy nor super athletic but plays a winning brand of basketball.

I can see him in the Draymond Green role on a championship team. But he’s a better shooter, ball handler and more athletic. But I see him stuffing the stat sheet. Rebounds, steals, assists, blocks, probably tops around 15 pts a game though.

    IMO the upside plays are:
Sharpe > Daniels > Sochan > (reluctantly) Duren

I don’t see it with Mathurin personally.

Mathurin’s lack of defense is a non starter for me. We simply can’t use another one way player. Sharpe might be the same. Daniels might be the perfect guy to put next to Dame or Ant. He’s tall, he can run the point, and he defends. Perfect backcourt mate for either guy.

I disagree here. I think Murray is being undervalued here because he's 'old'.

Murray has a much higher floor. And IMO, I think he has a higher ceiling.

Daniels' most likely outcone is Evan Turner.

We had Daniels on the team 4-5 years ago.... his name was Evan Turner

I think "lack of defense" could be an exaggeration.

He's got good instincts, long arms, and is athletic. Good enough to not worry about as a negative.

We really can’t roll the dice on a guy who hasn’t shown much effort in that department. At least Daniels is not only a good defender but also tall enough and long enough to play three positions. I’m confident that Daniels can develop his shot here.

so Daniels is BPA in your mind moreso than BPA? kinda seems like youre looking at fit and need (for certain skills) more than overall talent?

Sharpe is such a enigma that I can’t say he’s BPA.

Mathurin is BPA offensively but there’s two ends to the court. I’m not sure he’s BPA overall. We don’t need offense.

    The Home Run…

    7/TPE for Collins/16

    16/Nas for 12 - Draft Duren

    S@T Nurk/Mil Pick/Future 2s for OG

    Toronto may laugh but if…

    Dame/BWill
    Ant/Hart/Keon
    OG/Winslow
    Collins/Watford
    Duren/GB3

Just imagine adding Dame trade pieces to that starting lineup if winning with Dame didn’t work. Gotta love fantasy trade season.

we need to stop proposing sign and trades that revolve around Nurk + scraps for OG. Not happening.

Agreed. I think the idea that Toronto needs a higher value center is overblown. I'm not sure they'd even want to sign Nurk at his market rate if they had the cap space to do so. He's not a great scheme fit for what they like to do defensively.

I just dont think Bennedict is the kinda defensive turnstile you think he is. He's not that bad on that end.

Then do the first two and I’m still happy. S@T Nurk for a lesser quality wing.

Why would people hate those comps? Lonzo Ball especially. Could be a good/great back court mate to Simons someday.

I'm confident Mathurin can become a good defender.
