Is it a Bloody Mary? BTW, the Traeger Bloody Mary mix is pretty spicy.....and SOOOOO good! (It's a base mixed with tomato juice)
I prefer to make my own only I use V-8 and true celery heart, pepper vodka, dash of tobasco, greater dash of Worcestershire sauce and sometimes a mild pepperonccini.
Firing up the smoker for the first time since the SB for a brisket on Saturday night then held over in the oven to Sunday and will probably toss on a slab of ribs for myself. Other than that down here it's a pretty typical Mex-Tex cookout, fajita, sausage, jalapeno poppers, chips/dips. Might make up my slow cooker Mexican Cream Corn that is delicious!
Back yard starting to produce. I thinned out greens and got enough to make a couple of salads if baby lettuce, kale, bok choy, arugula along with radish greens and the radishes.
A few recent meals: Burger, home made french fries, and made some home made ketchup as well to go with Ribs, mashed potatoes and home made cole slaw: Orange Chicken Poke bowls and fresh shucked oysters:
This Saturday a friend and I are doing something unusual. Going to an A's game. I provide picnic. Wings, pita, hummus, tabbouleh, chocolate chip cookies.
I picked up one of these pizza ovens on the memorial day sale. I was planning a father's day pizza party with it but got Covid so probably have to wait. Has anyone used one? Looks fun and easy enough. I make a lot of pizza in my kitchen oven so I am excited to try the real thing.
Awesome! I've thought of building a brick pizza oven in my back yard, but as time passes, I do wonder if this is the better way to go. Ooni is the brand?
My research had me down to Ooni and Gozney. The Gozney Roccbox gets good reviews. For ooni I debated on the Karu vs Koda for way too long. Settled on the Karu because I wanted the option of wood and coal burning even though I'll mostly do gas. Also the Karu had a door and can be used like a regular oven at lower temps so you can easily do all sorts of things on them. The Karu is the only oven recommend by the Napoli pizza authority also and all reviews just had it a little more easy mode and versatile than the Koda for general use. So that was my basic reasoning, although both ooni and Gozney have a pretty big line to chose from. I'm pretty sure they run sales regularly. I got mine on a memorial day sale at 20% off.
