My pessimism says he will be taken at 6. Then we don't get him or whoever we wanted to trade him for.
But I guess for many that is a good thing.

Might be a smart move as that would probably increase offers of other seasoned vets besides OG A.

If he's as good as many project him out to be, of course he'll help Damian get closer to a ring. We'll have less ammo to trade for other positions but really the only glaring starting position is at PF.

I think we can do enough to fill that void.

    PG - Dame/Ant
    SG - Ant/Sharpe/Hart
    SF - Little/Hart
    PF - ?/ Winslow/Watford
    C - Nurk/?

UK guards tend to be studs in the NBA, I know that’s not scientific but as of late most of them turn out good to great.

A future Ant/Sharpe backcourt could be so nice.

I can say Cal recruited him and every other guard he has recruited in the past 6-7 years that went in the first round is a stud.

How do you know that we don’t use Ant to trade for OG or Grant?

I don’t. I’m saying it would be a nice backcourt not that it will be.

So the Blazers solution is to trade that risk for the certainty of mediocrity. Brilliant.

If Cronin does the unthinkable (the right thing) and drafts boom or bust Sharpe at 7 or moving up, I’ll never say a bad word about Joe

Ant is a free agent, so he can be traded after the draft.
