    Sharpe @#7.

As someone who selected Gobert and Giannis in 2013, I see Sharpe as being a similar impact player that GMs will later regret not picking up when they had an opportunity.

I think Mathurin and Murray will be good to very good but not great. You want to draft great. It's no surprise to see a Sam Presti salivating over Ivey and Sharpe whereas inexperienced/lesser front offices are not. It would seem Masai is looking at Sharpe, as well, if he's asking for Portland's pick. Let's think logically here....if these two guys who have GREAT track records want Portland's pick, who do you think is the one who is going to get fleeced?

In other words, DO NOT trade the pick for OG. Speaking as someone who also spotted OG back in 2017 and had Portland selecting him at #20, OG will command money in two years and Portland will be without a future. Whereas, if Sharpe develops into a 20+ppg threat who can get his own shot up and command double teams? That's the future and that's a player who will be better than OG.

IF....they make the pick for themselves, I want the player that has the highest ceiling. This team needs another star.

As of this morning, add NY and Spurs to the list of teams who want in on Sharpe.

There is a reason so many teams are intrigued.

Do the simple thing and take him if he's on the board at 7. None of this OG mess. Start Nas at SF. Let Shaedon develop for a few yrs, and nail the MLE and BAE selections next week.

I'm not sold on the team actually wanting OG.

Not for the price they are asking.

Definitely. I know that Detroit didn't get much for Grant, and while Grant and OG are similar(ish), I think Grant and Wood set the bar low for return.

I saw one Raptors fan (similar to the youtube channels Portland fans make) that thought that the Blazers should give up the 7 + 2 assets + a future 1st.

Then you want Sharpe... he might have the highest ceiling in the entire draft. I might want what someone would give us for Sharpe that thinks his ceiling is generational talent, if they had the pieces to pay for that generational talent.

That would seem to be the case. Betting lines have Sharpe and Duren dropping just a bit.

A discussion is waning....we are more likely to make our pick than we were yesterday.

    Good stuff.

I would be thrilled if we got:
    1a. Murray
    1b. Sharpe
    1c. Mathurin

I would be OK with, but annoyed that we couldn't trade down for more assets if we took:
    Daniels

I would be upset if we took without trading down:
    Duren
    Sochan

Still a chance of trading down....but we would keep our #7 pick in that particular discussion.

I don't care about trading down. That requires the cooperation of other teams, we don't have control over that.

Hoping for Murray, Sharpe, or Sochan in that order.
