Assuming your source is indeed connected to internal Blazer workings, this makes me very happy about Dame's input to the direction of the franchise. The good of the team is always more important then any one player.

With measurements and clips, Sharpe sure looks impressive. I didn't weigh in on him because of the lack of real play to evaluate and get a true sense, but management obviously had a lot more access. We shall see in time, but I'm very pleased they went with the guy who they felt will help them in the long term and didn't only focus on a quick fix for 2022-3. That said, good god did the Pistons win the draft. Unbelievable night for them.

Overall, it's an end of the draft pick so fingers crossed. Playing devil's advocate and shining a light on a negative, checking out the combine #s he had the 6th highest % of body fat of the guys who measured at over 12%. You'd think prepping for the draft guys would be as focused as possible on being in shape right? Hopefully they set him straight with workouts/nutrition and good habits early and he's able to take his fitness to another level.

Sharpe I don't know anything about just like didn't know anything about Simons that has turn out to pretty good. I don't expect not to much out Sharpe this year due to him being out basketball for a year. We will good glimpse of him during summer league due to that's more guard type of league. I think our 57th pick was pretty good pick that deep in the draft. But the Blazers went for length and players that should be good defenders due to there history. I would give Blazers a B for last night draft it could move to a A if Sharpe is good as the hype is.

I just find it funny because taking Sharpe is like taking Giannis back in 2013. I know I’m not the only one who laments taking CJ over a high ceiling guy like Giannis. This time we took the high ceiling guy instead of the safe pick. This is how we end up with a superstar. There’s definitely risk. But I’d rather take the chance.

Detroit has got itself a SQUAD. I may actually drive an hour south once in a while - apparently seats are easy to come by, although that should change. Troy Weaver = rebuild king.

    Nikola Jovic
    And
    Nikola Jokic

    Need to be teammates

Jovic to Jokic back to Jovic and he passes it into Jokic
Jovic dribbles into the paint and dishes to Jokic pump fake, Jokic back to Jovic, Jovic for 3!… No good. Rebound Jokic, passes back out to Jovic.

100% this! I wanted Giannis and Gobert in 2013 and fwiw, I wanted Sharpe at our pick. I would have taken Smith or Banchero over him, but that's it. I would have considered Holmgren, but Sharpe is who I really wanted after Paolo and Jabari.
