that's true 'Molasses Joe' has managed to be very effective on both ends of the floor for years. Athleticism and speed aren't tools in his toolbox although any guy who makes it in the NBA has to have some of both. His BBIQ is excellent my big concern is a suspicion he will be pretty limited next season coming back from that injury
WOW looks like Spurs already tanking oh and Denver downgraded their roster simply because they don’t want to pay luxury tax. Some Poor owner who rather save money than winning.
This brunson stuff is hilarious. This guy is hollywood. Holding meeting like hes an all star. And now Miami is also pitching him? Would be even funnier if he turns down the Knicks after they made all those moves and gave up all those picks for him
What wouldn't be funny is when we had to match the offersheet the Knicks would then turn around and give Ant. So let's hope the Knicks land him or Ant just signs really soon.
yes crazy that a guy who is averaging 12-4-3 for his career is forcing teams to move heaven and earth to meet him and throw contracts worth over 125 million at him. also crazy that NY gave up multiple picks to clear room for him already without a guarantee to sign him.
check out the wording. Brunson will hold free agent meetings in New York, sources said. The Mavericks will be given an opportunity to present an offer sweet enough to entice the four-year veteran into re-signing. Owner Mark Cuban, general manager Nico Harrison, head coach Jason Kidd and potentially a few players are expected to attend the meeting, sources said. Dallas was initially hoping to come to terms on a five-year, $106 million deal, but that offer would not get it done, sources said. The Knicks are viewed as the frontrunners and the expectation is an offer of four years, in the vicinity of a whopping $110 million will be proposed, sources said. It would likely take somewhere close to a five-year, $125 million commitment from the Mavericks to prevent Brunson from signing with the Knicks, sources said. There is a darkhorse team in play: the Miami Heat, as they’ve secured a meeting, too, sources said. In order for the Heat to acquire Brunson, it would take a sign-and-trade agreement.
