FA coming to a social media platform near you soon.

Ayton might be the storyline this off-season. Portland had come up as a potential destination for Ayton.

Which team will Ayton play for at the start of the season?

Doesn't sound like anyone wants him, which is kinda crazy.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. What if there’s a three team trade brewing? Could Nurk be headed to Phoenix?

He doesn't fit into the NBA game that well--limited ability to shoot from distance and limited ability to guard multiple positions.

Add in that he has had personality conflicts with a well-regarded coach AND that he wants that much money... it would be a shock to me if a team would give up good value just to sign him to a massive deal. But it just takes one sucker, so we'll see.

i wouldn't be so quick to anoint Monty. he seems a bit like a control freak and CP is the same way-- and that's gotta wear on Ayton

I don't like the way the Suns have approached things (remember that "we don't need no stinkin' scouts!"-like article a couple of weeks ago? And I don't know enough about coaching to say if Monty is good or not, but if it's picking him and CP or Ayton, I understand why Phoenix isn't spending big on DA. :)

If there was a tentative agreement for a double sign and trade of Ayton for Nurk the salaries and filler would be a bit tricky as both teams would be hard capped and Ayton is BYC.

Actually makes sense as to why the Blazers haven't been discussed for any MLE free agents; they might not be able to spend any of the MLE or tax MLE if up against a hard cap.

Now add the Durant curveball and him saying Phoenix is his preferred destination, they of course have to explore Durant options first, and then Nurk probably wouldn't fit with them since that would trigger the hard cap.

Both seem a bit overpaid, value is probably pretty similar. I have much more hope Ayton could improve being only 23, so I'd go with him.

I don't like the idea of giving up Hart. But with us supposedly offering the MLE to GP2 seems like there must be a guard headed out.

Provided we get another vet or two, Dame / Grant / Ayton make the Blazers a contender.

I’m tired of Nurk’s pouting, he won’t jump off the floor, and he’s proven to be injury prone.

    I pick Ayton

    Nurk at 13M

if not then, Lopez, Eubanks, & Watford for a combined 6-7M

I should say Whiteside for the minimum just to elevate your blood pressure
