He had an explosive start, and at least 3 lobs.

He did score 9 total points, which per 36 would be 27.

Granted, it's a guard driven game (in the SL) and his offensive game isn't necessarily that of someone who creates for himself (like Chet, Jabari or Paolo can). I definitely can see the Dwight Howard comparison though, and he'll definitely be fun to watch (if you're a Pistons fan).

It's funny that people are always reading a lot into stuff Damian says, as if he speaks in codes.

Krysten was one of Shaedon's biggest fans predraft: https://sports.yahoo.com/shaedon-sh...biggest-mystery-amoung-rookies-151844915.html

Sharpe has participated in all practices leading up to Summer League, and the coaching staff is encouraged by what they're seeing early.

"He's been impressive in practice," Hetzel said. "He has a ton of talent and an easy, smooth way about him. He defends, he listens, he's coachable and he tries to apply the coaching we've given him so I've been impressed."

I hope he plays too and think it's very unlikely that anyone will have to force him. If he had just got the ball stolen from him or been crossed up and left on skates then I could see people thinking that the dude didn't get injured and is some kind of shrinking violet, shying away from a challenge but please tell me you saw the play directly before the one where he got hurt. That turnaround jumper was beautiful and obviously not an accident.

I'm just going to say this again, this dude has so much game but we have yet to see what kind of mind for the game he has. I think it's far too soon to make assumptions about his competitive drive or BBIQ. It was 5 minutes and I really don't think he was looking for an out but hey, I could be wrong I guess.

You're passing it off as a fact, not an opinion.

Exactly. By age and experience he's basically a straight from HS kid as he reclassified up and of course didn't play in college. Of straight from HS kids who went on to become HOF talents, almost all needed at least a season of development before they commanded rotational minutes. Posters are laughable when they're losing their S about Shaedon in summer league as even if he stays completely healthy this season he's unlikely to contribute much. Whats even funnier is the posters who so desperately want him to not only contribute immediately, but do it at a different position then where his size fits best because of the current team's needs. I'll be thrilled if he averages 15-20 MPG. Participating in practice, being guided by professionals in nutrition and workouts & natural maturation will all be important in his development this year. This will take some time.

Or maybe not over-react when someone says they disagree with you?

I said right before the game in the "Predict his stats" thread that he would start off slow.
I did not go out on a limb there, I am sure most felt that way. He needed to shake off the nerves.

I remember going to Amar'e Stoudemire's first summer league game. He looked lost in the first half. Opposing players were talking trash to him. Then all of a sudden he flipped a switch and dominated the rest of the game. I doubt SS will dominate this summer league but I hope he can play and learn from the experience.

Yeah, I thought it's just a matter of how you interpret the word challenge... I thought it was a little aggressive for the advice Dame was giving, so it's not what I would have used but it's not entirely inaccurate either. Dame was matter of factly stating that Shaedon has expectations as a top ten pick that Shaedon should be looking to show he can live up to. He also expressed confidence that Shaedon would step up.

i wasn't the one overreacting. i felt it was your "ever heard of confirmation bias" post was.

it wasn't confirmation bias. it was sharing others who had a similar opinion on dame's comments. Hell, people in this thread felt the same way.
