Imagine if instead of him missing all of summer league.

He’s actually the GOAT and they are trolling the franchise only to reassure them in the long run when Sharpe wins SL MVP and ROY.

Thats usually a result of docs coming around to look at it, but images are processed almost instantly.

That’s because the doctors were drawing straws to decide who had to actually call and deal with you.

The results are just as instantaneous as an xray, there are just more results to desipher. Sometimes a physician (almost always a specialist) just asks for the images directly and can have you go take the MRI and then discuss what they see right after. Often the physician wants the radiologist to do a report on what they are seeing so they have a sort of outline of what to look for and what they're looking at. I guess how long it takes depends on the complexity of the issue, the confidence/hubris of the physician treating you and/or just logistics.

One of my first assignments in signals processing class was to write code to denconvolute images from MRIs and CT scans. Fun stuff...

Only for the New York Knicks- it requires a Fournier transform.

That a basketball and nerd joke for @THE HCP

I want to say again that even if many of you think it's uncool. Hetzel did make a statement on this yesterday that Shaedon was feeling good and as long as the MRI came back OK he wouldn't be held out of playing. It's summer league, not the regular season or important like the playoffs so Hetzel and the team might think that his statement was good enough and we can just wait until the game. I think that if it was something really severe, that would be newsworthy and they might issue a statement but others in here could be right that they're getting a second opinion or imaging because of the first MRI being inconclusive.

I honestly think the most likely thing is that they think the fact that Hetzel said the de facto result would be him playing today is enough if they're planning on playing him today since they have no obligation to issue an injury report and he did say that Shaedon was feeling good.
