I've thought the same thing. Obviously a better outside shooter at the same point but very similar otherwise.
Most eye opening thing continues to be his lateral movement defensively. Makes me think he can guard wings.
I didn't see the game unfortunately, but I saw clips where me made multiple plays off the dribble. That's a completely different level. If he can really call his own shot and put the ball on the floor, that gives him a completely different ceiling than initially thought. He's super high IQ.
I think he has the lateral quickness to play SF full-time. He should get minutes right away - maybe even as the eventual starter
That would certainly be a great asset to have. I don’t know if he’d ever be a starting SF, but we saw what Watford did to his body after some encouragement from Chauncey to lose weight, so who knows.
While his dad taught him to carve out a role, he probably also told him not to be picky where he goes. Even though its a small market, Samaki probably told him how blessed you are to be on any team. Love having Jabari on our team.

His teammates have had blinders on to him. But that's SL where fringe guys are all trying to get theirs to be noticed.
ortg of 149.1! drtg of 84.1! netrtg of 65!!!!!!!!!! yes, they're extremely short minutes, and those were off the bench, but the fact is he's played really well, and I'm optimistic about his future. It's not obvious that he should be behind Watford and Greg. Looking forward to seeing him continue to develop.
In a drastic contrast to our summer league "point guards", Walker doesn't play favorites or hesitate to make the right pass to his teammates. I was disgusted with Brandon William when Garza ran to the hoop uncovered and Williams seemed to be incapable of even throwing up one of his bad shot attempts to get Garza an easy basket. Instead, he called Garza back to set a pick for himself. Yuck. Compare that to Walker, who had the ball in the left corner, saw an open Garza, tossed him the ball, and Garza drilled the 3-pointer. You'd think all the things Walker does are common sense and reflexive, but looking at his teammates, that is obviously not the case. Anyway my point is that Walker empowers his teammates the way all Blazers should.
