Sorry your friend was killed. The violence either way is unacceptable. It sounds like he was in with a bad crowd of people and put himself in the very situation that caused his death. Had he stayed home, he'd be alive. That said, it sounds like the guy who shot him had gotten away and had successfully hid in the parking garage, as your friend passed it by. I wasn't there. I don't know how it went down exactly. I don't know Reinoehl's mindset or if he was truly afraid for his life or acted in self defence. It all fucking sucks. Reading about Reinoehl's death, it sounds very probably like an execution. Those agents took him out. Did they think his phone was a phone and weren't taking chances? IDK. There are too many different accounts from witnesses, and witnesses changing their accounts of what happened or saying they were wrongly misquoted. There was a lot of weird shit surrounding a bullet Reinoehl supposedly shot off. Was he at his car? Did he run to his car? Was he armed? IDK. Those officers apparently didn't announce themselves as officers, didn't have cameras on their uniforms. Hard to know exactly what happened. It's too bad we didn't get to see him go to court and find out more of why and how things happened.
Excellent question. It would have been great if he could have been asked about that at the trial. If you watch the video I posted, Reinoehl said he was asked to be there to help as security and had been shot in the arm before at one of these events. He wasn't likely to leave, as he was trying to protect his friends. What it sounded like to me was he got them to follow him away from whoever they were harassing before and hid to see if they were still following. But I don't know that for sure. In the video he said he thought they were going to kill him and his friend if he didn't do something to stop them, because the police weren't doing anything to help.
Dude, I saw the video showing Reinoehl going to the garage to hide and ambush him. And he had his gun drawn on Jay before any pepper spray was extended. It was an execution plain and simple.
I saws the video as well. Several different videos. How did he know he was going to be walking by there? Because he was being pursued... If you're chasing somebody and harassing them you don't get to claim you were the victim. You put them in a position to defend themselves. If somebody is armed and chasing me I'll probably have my gun pulled as well. I'm sorry, I just don't buy it. However, I wish Reinoehl had been arrested and stood trial so we'd have a better idea.
https://floridianpress.com/2022/07/liberal-florida-lawmaker-claims-ron-desantis-condones-nazism/ At the recent TPUSA event, controversy broke out when Neo-Nazis began to demonstrate outside of the building. Now, Progressive State Rep. Carlos G. Smith (D-49) is claiming Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who spoke at the event, condones Nazism. "I can’t think of a single Florida politician, regardless of party, who wouldn’t immediately condemn Nazis celebrating and rallying in support of them…. Not one politician, except our own Gov. Ron DeSantis. His silence should terrify every American— and it’s not the first time," said Rep. Smith on Twitter. While there appeared to be a separation between conventional attendees to the TPUSA event and the Neo-Nazi crowd, Smith pointed out some images where Nazi flags and, "DeSantis country," are shown in the same picture. However, it is unclear whether the man flying the flag is associated with the Nazi demonstrators. One man had a sign that glorified Governor DeSantis and former US President Donald Trump (R) in which Smith stated, "The homophobic, transphobic, racist and anti-Semitic 'contributions' actual Nazis are praising their “glorious leader Ron DeSantis” for are so vile and reprehensible, I won’t repeat them. By failing to condemn this, Governor DeSantis fully condones and embraces this hate." While there has been no official condemnation yet from the DeSantis Administration, we could likely expect one soon. With having received awards from the nation of Israel for his great relationship with the Jewish people, and major platform to combat anti-semitism, claiming Ron DeSantis is a Nazi sympathizer is an extremely hard case to make. This is one of many sparring matches Smith has had with the Florida governor. Just this year Smith was very critical of DeSantis' "Stop WOKE Act," that was critical of practices such as Critical Race Theory in academia. Smith spoke out against it as the representative of the University of Central Florida area stating, "The DeSantis regime has made the anti-racist mission of my alma mater AGAINST THE LAW." Smith is the same legislator that defended Socialism on the floor of the Florida House of Representatives.
If someone is publicly praised by a hate group, and does not respond by condemning said group, then that person is implicitly approving that group and its endorsement. It's not a tough line to walk. Every politician who chooses not to denounce racist organizations emboldens them. Selling principles or integrity for votes is deplorable.
Who knows if these were even real Nazis? I mean..... https://www.bizpacreview.com/2022/0...group-quick-to-split-when-confronted-1265499/ A group of self-proclaimed Nazis appeared outside Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit conference this weekend in Tampa, but critics say all the evidence points to them once again having been Democrats in disguise. Some of the evidence was provided by Tayler Hansen, a field reporter with the conservative outlet Next News Network. When Hansen asked the Nazis why they’d shown up together, they feigned ignorance and acted as if they’d each come out there individually. “This is a common reoccurrence. These people show up, give bad optics. I mean, they’re at a damn high school event right now. I asked them why they’re here at a high school event, why they chose this, and if they’re organized. They said no, we’re not organized, we just all showed up,” Hansen said in a video recording. “So they just all showed up individually and decided that they’re all going to be Nazis and wave Nazi flags outside a high school event allegedly without even communicating with each other.” He added that this clearly makes no sense. “Because that make a lot of sense. They were able to just sync their minds and all come in here at the same time with no Telegram group chats, no group chats to organize, absolutely no organization, they said. Yet they’re all here doing the exact same things,” he said. Hansen also noted that the ostensible Nazis kept contradicting one another. He reportedly wasn’t wrong about “left-wing journalists” rushing to link the alleged Nazis with the Republican Party: Turning Point USA for its part condemned the Nazis. “They have nothing to do with TPUSA, our event, or our students. Our students took the mature route and vacated the space the Nazi flag holders were in. Once that happened, they left,” a spokesperson told local media outlet Creative Loafing. “I’m asking them, trying to get them to take their masks off. They won’t. They say it’s because of where they work. Their stories have contracted each other over and over again,” he said. “One man said that his parents were murdered by a black man and that’s why he’s out here. He’s allegedly 18 years old. And his story keeps contradicting itself.” In his opinion, the self-identified Nazis were imposters who showed up to smear Turning Point USA and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis so that the media would then pick up the smear and broadcast it to the entire world. “These people are lying. These people are here for bad optics, to give bad optics to Turning Point USA so you can have left-wing journalists … pick up these stories, saying, hey look at this Nazi holding up a Ron DeSantis sign. That means Ron DeSantis is a Nazi and his base is Nazis. It is so obvious what’s going on right here right now.” Hansen also wasn’t wrong to point out that this is a “common reoccurrence.” Something similar occurred last year when ostensible white supremacists showed up to an event for then-GOP Virginia gubernatorial nominee Glenn Youngkin. Their presence at the event triggered widespread media coverage. Yet it was later learned that the ostensible white supremacists were imposters who’d been sent to the event by the Lincoln Project, a far-left group that exists to smear Republicans.
It looks like Jay walked away from the crowd down the side street and actually didn't pass the opening of the garage completely. It appears he turned towards the garage and raised his hand with the spray. I suppose Reinoehl could have thought it a weapon. It's kind of hard to all make out in the video. I guess we will never know what really happened. Wasn't there another guy with Reinoehl? Has he said anything?
Whether or not they're real nazis or left-wing or media plants has no impact on how DeSantis should repond to their presence/support. As noted in the example you gave, "Turning Point USA, for its part, condemned the Nazis". Which is the right thing to do. DeSantis has not. His silence speaks volumes.
and again you are digging to prop up bad behavior on behalf of an anti civil rights politician....you don't get to play the doubt card over and over like you have with Trump, Walker and all your poster boys...DeSantis is another one....and Florida is a safe haven for those racist groups...always has been. Fuck DeSantis and Fuck Nazis! Try supporting good people for a change....you keep cheering for really, really poor candidates. If DeSantis were a true good leader he'd have marched outside and demanded those racist fucks be removed and shamed...crickets. Your party of choice needs to wake the fuck up
If these aren't Nazis, but rather left-wing loony propagantists out stirring up trouble, then I don't blame hit all a for not engaging.
Enough man. This false flag excuse shit is getting old. Just an excuse so the right doesn't have to take responsibility. There is no ambiguity about far right nationalist Neo Nazis connection to the Republican party. It is their party of choice because it is towing their line in ways like or not. Make America Better Again indeed. Let me know when DeSantis condemns these neo Nazi and other like groups.
