I'm pretty sure that anyone in the GOP is the devil to Stewart, so you'd have to take that with a grain of salt. Look, in contrast to what Stewart said about Cruz, Stewart is effectively acknowledging that DeSants woud be Trump's main competition in the 2024 GOP Primary, and probably be the better choice. To me, that's saying something.

Banning me from that other thread was weak sauce.

I made reasonable Jon Stewart connections. When do threads purely stick to the subject matter, anyway? Just because I post about a guy whom most of you strongly dislike doesn't make me a troll.

Not sure what he said about Cruz. I don't believe he mentioned Cruz in that article.

He didn't say anything nice about DeSantis in that article. All he said was that the Republicans had an alternative candidate, but that he was basically the same as Trump, just younger, educated, and without a gold toilet. He doesn't think anymore of DeSantis than he does if Trump.

I didn't ban you from shit. I'm more than willing to let you eat your words.

No, you posting about DeSantis allowing vets to be teachers had nothing to do with the PACT act. Just like your post last week about DeSantis in the House of Random had nothing to do about that thread. You've been doing that lately to troll people.

Well, golly gee, sorry I didn't qualify the initial post. As I later mentioned, Jon Stewart is a huge supporter of our military. So is DeSantis. So much so, he's approved a Florida House Bill which allows for "qualified" military to come into our educational facilities and teach.....to whatever degree that means. I believe Jon Stewart would appreciate that gesture. I also posted a link about Stewart effectively endorsing DeSantis as formidable competition to Trump, although, I doubt Stewart would ever vote for him. LOL

    Again, here is that Bill:

CS/SB 896: Educator Certification Pathways for Veterans
GENERAL BILL by Education ; Burgess ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Perry

Educator Certification Pathways for Veterans; Authorizing the Department of Education to issue a temporary certificate to specified military servicemembers who meet certain criteria; requiring a teacher mentorship for specified military servicemembers who hold a temporary certificate; specifying the duration and issuance of a temporary certificate for specified military servicemembers, etc.

I'd like know what that criteria is. If it's service members who have teaching degrees sure.

You know you've mentioned a few times that you were going to start your own Blazer forum but since you don't really post about the Blazers you should start a DeSantis forum. Seriously, I bet it would be popular.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says doctors who operate on minors with gender dysphoria ‘need to get sued’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called for doctors who perform gender reassignment surgeries on minors to be sued at a Wednesday press conference.

“They talk about these very young kids getting gender-affirming care,” DeSantis said, who used air quotes while using the phrase. “What they don’t tell you what that is is that they are giving very young girls double mastectomies, they want to castrate these young boys — that’s wrong.”

Several of DeSantis’ press reps have questioned the “gender-affirming care” phrase in recent months, arguing that it doesn’t specify the procedures being performed in some cases. And in April, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo said minors experiencing gender dysphoria should instead receive counseling to address their concerns.

“You don’t disfigure 10-, 12-, 13-year-old kids based on gender dysphoria,” DeSantis added Wednesday. “Eighty percent of it resolves anyways by the time they get older. So why would you be doing this? I think these doctors need to get sued for what’s happening, I’m sorry.”

Those who support access to the procedures — which also include puberty blockers — assert that they improve the mental health of transgender children.

DeSantis has come under fire from some LGBTQ groups and Assistant Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, the highest-ranking transgender member of government, for his positions on a range of transgender issues.

In March, Florida banned school instruction related to gender identity or sexual orientation for kids in younger grades, which critics have called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Those against the bill have called for its repeal, arguing that the law leads to hostility toward those in the LGBTQ community.

Nah, I enjoy hanging around in here.

BTW, my buddy Sanford, who works college football for ESPN and produces the United We Drive ....(I've posted a thread on that) stopped over to the house yesterday. We were chatting about Pat Lowry. He says she's doing great. She was/is SO cool!

Operations like that are already illegal until people are 18.

    That's what I thought.

    Although......

    https://www.childrenshospital.org/programs/center-gender-surgery-program

Gender dysphoria occurs when there is a conflict between the gender you were assigned at birth and the gender with which you identity. This can create significant distress, and you may feel uncomfortable in your body. The Center for Gender Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital offers gender affirmation surgery services to eligible adolescents and young adults who are ready to take this step in their journey. It is the first center of its kind in the U.S. in a major pediatric hospital setting.

You posted a few days ago about Jazz Jennings, should her doctors be sued for giving her puberty blockers?

Nobody should be sued, IMO. Plus, I think that was a figure of speech by Desantis. However, I believe there should be scrutinization and oversight. There are many doctors out there who practice greedily and/or irresponsibly. Many plastic surgeons as one example.

Did you tell him how you counted how many black people live in your neighborhood?
