Most of the comments are calling ESPN out for leaving Dame/Simons off this list. To be fair, all these guys have at least a full year of starting under their belt, so it makes sense that Simons doesn't actually fit in with the rest of this group...yet.

Yeah read the comments. They are roasting them. I agree Simons has not played a full season with Dame but Lillard is still Lillard and Simons provided enough to at least be put in the conversation.

They do it on purpose. Snubbing Dame gets clicks.

Is that really Watford? He looks like a different player out there. Maybe lost a few lbs??

A slimmer, quicker Watford could be an excellent backup 4 for this squad. Felt to me last year like speed and shooting were the two things that would really elevate his game.

They would get more clicks snubbing Curry probably. Just figure he has way more hardware.

Love to see him be the "Breakout" this year. They do need him.

I thought the same. Looks like he is closer to 230 now. Maybe they wanted him quicker out on the perimeter and thought it would help. Either way, I have a good feeling about him. I have always said if he could be an effective 3 pt shooter he would be an effective rotational player because he has the handles to get by other PFs if they have to cover him outside too. I like his ability to attack the basket.

Can you imagine him coming out and basically outplaying Grant? I would love to see him give us a reason not to offer Grant the extension he seems to expect.

Dame/Simons is definitely better than Westbrook/Beverly.

It’s funny because Westbrook and Beverly have not really played together at all have they?

    that's actually an interesting idea

have four 8 team conferences (or divisions). Teams play each team in their conference 4 times (28 games). And then a home & home against all the other teams (48 games). That would be 76 games which is close enough to 82 games. If the NBA insisted on 82 games then have a 6 game mid-season tournament, or something like that.

the Pacific division would be pretty natural: Seattle-Blazers-Kings-Warriors-Lakers-Clippers-Suns-Las Vegas

playoff seeding might get kind of complicated though

Divisions have been totally useless for quite a while. When I look at the standings I never select the "division" option. I always look at the conference standings for seeding purposes. So I guess I lean toward just having 2 conferences. That leaves the Blazers playing 17 eastern conference teams twice (34 games) and the 16 western teams 3 times. Alternate every year who gets HC.

Edit: That can't be right. That comes out to 34 teams. Regardless I like just having 2 conferences and no divisions.

Hold on...so Paul George is all the sudden a guard?

And other backcourts who have never sniffed time together are sure things?

I guess notable can indicate negativity too...

I'm tellin' ya'll, TW is the real deal.
Wanna know who the "Breakout" player is gonna be this season?
Hell, he may even sniff a few Most Improved votes.
    Plus...A super cool dude.
