What was he saying the other day when he was blasting me. “The HCP doesn’t know anything about basketball!”
Then goes on to post his verbal diarrhea all over this site.

Who's our backup C? Grant, Watford, or somebody else?

How was I defending his post? I don't want to ruin it, but he's fucking with you guys. He's a bit more realistic and pragmatic in real life...though he is very optimistic.

Back to my point though. So, what if his posts are out past optimism in the milky way. Why does it chap your guys asses so much?

True. It just seems unnecessary. It seems like overreaction to it, like the reactions he is getting are as out there as you guys claim his aggrandizement is.

Doesn't chap my ass at all. Does make it hard to have a realistic convo though.
I would expect pushback if i posted such outlandish things. I expect pushback for my Sharpe predictions.
Whether serious or inflated, what he says often deserve some scrutiny from other like minded fans.
And honestly, if he has an issue with the pushback, he can always use green font or what not. Its a two way street.
Posting outlandish takes will incite outlandish responses.
He should own what he posts more. Like right now.

Thats the point. He should be able to take what he gives. :) if he wants to troll with hot takes then he should be fine with the backlash, no?

There are plenty of people here to have a conversation with. If you don't like what he is saying don't respond.

I guess I just don't get the outlandish responses. People getting angry at it...why? When I read his posts being overly optimistic I don't see issue with that. I know he's just being silly. I don't take it seriously. I'm a little superstitious when it comes to the Blazers, so I'm not gonna knock it.

On the podcast there is optimism but there is also the realistic. I appreciate his optimism. Sometimes I go with it. When the season isn't going well, it brings me up. He always sees the positives, even if it doesn't seem like there isn't any, but also like you and me and everyone else here feels the ups and downs.

It's been my impression that Eric appears to be fine with the responses to his posts. I don't recall him getting into nasty squabbles the way some have over the years.

Hey--you just described me to a tee! Except one of mine is also getting married, and I'm paying for the wedding. Not surprisingly, I also do not plan on placing any bets.

Well because we are talking about opinion predictions etc. that hold alot of weight around here.
again. Im not mad or angry at all. Just calling out outlandish takes like what normally happens around here on a regular basis when outlandish takes are posted by anyone.
    remember 23 wins?
Why is Eric exempt from pushback?

And if Eric is fine with his takes and fine with the responses to his takes, then why is this conversation even going on? ;)

I don't think Eubanks is better than Lamarcus, Dwight, Demarcus, or Hassan but it is what it is.

Also, Nurk is a frustrating center to root for, even his made baskets are unsatisfying because he seems to just throw a prayer most of the times. And someone needs to tell him to go easy on the three point attempts and learn how to play defense without fouling out and enough with those lazy passes. I wish him well tho coz this team needs him. He does suffer from having to cover for our guard's defensive limitations.

Nurk definitely needs to use his body and attack the paint more. He looks so weak in there. One hit and he flails. He is better than that. We have all seen the true beast.

Do they hold that much weight? We all make predictions every year and 99.9% of us are wrong every year. A lot of us are closer than others. If he wants to make outrageous predictions so what? Most everyone doesn't give that a second glance. The focus is generally more on the ones closer to reality.

Call out what you want. I call stuff out too. It is common here. Just saying I don't waste my energy on calling out something so silly as over optimism.

That's different though. This a Blazer forum. There is a difference between being optimistic about the team and being negative. Posting negative things on a sports forum regarding the team of that forum is looking for clap back. It's more understandable for negativity regarding the Blazers among such a loyal group of fans, even in the guise of realistic thinking to get backlash than aggrandizement.

He is not exempt. Not at all. I just don't get it.

My bad you don’t constantly defend his posts in here. What was I thinking.

He’s laughing because it’s still being talked about.
