    Nope he is just super quick with the ignore button. Thats how serious he takes it. ;)

    They both get it from the opposite side.
    Yes everyone here judges the others’ opinions as a barometer of basketball knowledge.
    Not sure why you are defending his trolling.
    Is it serious optimism or is it he is being silly, not serious and trolling? cant have it both ways my friend. :)

    If its serious optimism those who disagree should be able to call it out.
    If its goody trolling, others should be able to call it out.

    I don't know, but i would guess he has me on ignore and if so, he takes this much more serious than you claim. :dunno:
    Anyhow, i said my peace and am now waiting for my backlash for my Sharpe predictions.

    considering how often he puts folks on ignore, i question this. ;)

    at any rate, i mean him no harm and if he is offended im sorry. But he really should think before posting if he is serious and if he isnt, well then He is just trolling and deserves whatever.

    I'm not defending anything. I agree, many of his posts predicting how the season will go are glorified over optimism. Im just saying I don't get the reaction.

    Actually, Eric replies quite often to responses he gets.

    Yeah, I just don't get it. It's not worth the time to be upset about. It's more like satiric than trolling. It's a bit of both him being optimistic which is his nature, and being overly silly. I am not one for trolling, especially when it is ill natured. I see his as being good natured and just silly... harmless.

    I have no idea who he has on ignore or not.

    I guess just knowing him as a person outside of the forum I have different view. A fuller picture.

    I guess looking at it from your viewpoint, some people are just more annoyed by over optimism like most are annoyed by negativity when it comes to sports teams.

    What did you predict about Sharpe?

    I personally like his optimism but i prefer it somewhat realistic. Lol.
    Again. Not annoyed or mad in the least. His responses/answers had me surprised and so i asked/called him out if he was serious or not is all. Never said he should or shouldn't do anything one way or another.

    Sharpe will win ROTY and will be starting by the end of the season.
    And i stand by it. Lol

    I think the reaction is we all like to think we know the game. The reaction is saying some people question his knowledge of the game, if those posts are serious.
    I totally get the reaction and would expect the same to befall me if i made such posts like, ny is the only good team we face in our first 15 or so games.

    Hey, I'm near with you on Sharpe! He has a real chance to win ROY! I don't know if he will be starting. It's possible. If he does end up starting because he earned it, that can only mean good things. I'm down for that.

    He will definitely play more and more minutes as the season goes on.

    But, every knows or should know that he's not being completely serious. We all know some about the game of basketball. Our collective knowledge and fanship is what brings us here, but we don't know everything. We don't know how the season will turn out. None of us do.

    Maybe you would get such a reaction. People would be surprised because that's not you, it's not how you post. Like me you are pretty straight forward realistic. His over the top posts are just who he is. Like I said, I guess it just comes down to knowing the person outside the moniker and that's why I see it different.

    But, hey it is what it is.

    how, he never says he is joking and puts people on ignore at the slightest hint of disagreement with his opinions. Not sure how anyone could possibly know he is joking?
    I bet if you polled the forum you would have a different view presented. ;)

    I think it's quite obvious that he is jesting. I don't think his ignore list is as big as is made out to be. I will have to ask him. Maybe you are right. I do have a different viewpoint knowing him outside the forum.
