It’s not about a clear spot. It’s about starting our best SG at SG. Not playing our second best PG at SG.

So... the Nets give up Kyrie AND Ben Simmons and get Wesbrook and Anfernee? Yeah... they'd jump all over that.

I'm used to going against the grain, but I'm a little surprised at the love this board seems to have for Anfernee and Sharpe. I'm guessing it's mainly belief in the potential of the latter. Hope your faith is rewarded!

Nothing is stopping Chauncey from doing it now and bringing Simons off the bench if he wants to. Right now he could start
Dame, Hart, Winslow/Little, Grant, and Nurk.

Next year he could start Dame, Sharpe, Little, Grant, and Nurk
    or
    Dame, Hart, Sharpe, Grant, Nurk

I love Dame but he is getting older. He may or may not start getting more injuries. I don't know the future but I do like that Ant can step in and duplicate a lot of what Dame brings if Dame does get hurt. I love having depth, now we need to get some for the frontcourt.

We're too tiny. We need to size up by the deadline. Giannis is SF for Milwaukee.

Not interested in Little having big minutes. I’d rather go with Winslow or Walker.

Jarred Vanderbilt continues to be a guy that I want on this squad, even more so now than before. I would see how long we can survive without a backup C and if the asking price comes down. But if we have solid footing on a playoff spot, Vanderbilt makes a lot of sense.

    Nurk/Vando/Watford

    Solid C rotation.

What would Ainge want in return, hypothetically? He wants picks I am afraid.

Well I’d personally setting the largest offer at two 2nds and hoping they lower the asking price. Any more than that, we can look elsewhere. I’m not trading any more 1sts for role players. It would depend on how the Jazz keep playing as well.

a 6'9" (6'7" barefoot) 214 lb player is our answer for our backup center? We might as well use Winslow

Winslow is like 6’6 in shoes. He’s not a long term option at backup C. Vando would be replacing Eubanks. Outside of his energy and defense, Vando can also really rebound and push the ball a little bit. Imagine a lineup of Dame + Ant + Hart + Grant + Vando where any of them can rebound and push the ball up the court?

You can also fully rely on Vando to play 30mpg, so on days Nurk isn’t playing well, Vando + Watford can replace him and I wouldn’t really be worried. We really need a backup C, and for two 2nds, the asking price is pretty cheap for someone who can vastly change your team on the defensive end for 2 cheap years.

I agree that Winslow is not big enough. My point is that neither is Vando......at center
