In the first game thread some were saying Sharpe wasn't our second best player but our best player.

There's an entire thread about Sharpe. Some even wanted Dame traded to make room for him. Some knocking Dame to our 2nd best player.

I'll try to search for those who said Grant could be our second best player. Personally, I think this is very much possible.

Like you say, there is a case for Hart being the 2nd best player.

Not having a clear #2 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world!

Play was made for Dame but with no timeouts they had to get it in, so technically the 2nd isn't -100%- true lol. Nitpicky I know.

But we 3-0 that's all that freaking matters.

in his limited minutes, i saw sharpe

dunk a lob - once his teammates learn him, this is a scary weapon for us
caused a laker turnover - ball went out of bounds, no statistical credit
steal the ball from lebron - and scored in transition
missed a corner three - not in good position, he was trying to beat the shot clock
missed a layup - that was put back
    played good defense

    16 min
    4 pts
    4 reb
    1 ast
    1 stl
    1 blk

Copy that. Easy to believe Dame is always the #1 option, but I hadn't heard Billups confirm as much. I'm trying to give Billups credit!

Managed to listen to the whole game somehow but holy hell the signal for 620 AM is pitiful through the mountains. What would it take to get an FM station?

Also... Man i miss Wheels. This new dude has absolutely nothing on the Legend.

Haha for sure. But Grant did the post game on radio and the first thing he said is the play was for Dame. Hell of an adjustment to take that strong to the rim for Grant. Really damn impressive.

Don’t need to search for it, I’ll just assume you’re correct.

Grant had a solid game to open the season (along with Sharpe) so I could see some looneys going down that path.

My case for Hart is that he is an elite rebounder for his size, great defender, can actually dribble the ball (unlike some of our previous wings), usually makes good decisions, passes the ball which means he changes the game in so many ways without having to score.

I acknowledge we have more talented players, and some that are better at scoring the ball, but Hart is one of the better all around players we have had in recent memory.

I think Grant is our second best player. He's a two way player and he can score in different ways on all three levels. Love Ant but Grant is probably better.

Hope you didn't take my original reply as you thinking Hart is our 2nd best player was a bad take.

Grant is more talented and is probably harder to replace (based on size / length) but I think Hart is better.

Harts rebounding for his size/position is a massive asset.

Kinda reminds me of Westbrook in his best days. He was a massive weapon because of the rebounds he was getting and immediately pushing the pace. It’s a huge asset.

I could definitely see your perspective though. Don’t hate it.

3-0 baby! Perhaps even better we handed the lakers an 0-3 start. Lillard looks like a man on a mission. The hype is real

Just got home, spent the weekend at the beach.

    Some of you... LOL!

    A couple of things...

A game isn't lost if a team misses its first four 3pt shots.

    Dame doesn't suck.

Weird how some of you are so quick to bash the Blazers and then completely disappear after they win.

I think it is close, but both Hart and Grant are very important to this team. Both are two-way players. However, despite his winning drive, I still see Grant mostly as an excellent 3 &D player. Hart on the other hand does everything well.

Just finished watching the game. Lmao what the fuck.

I went from "how the fuck did we lose that game" straight to "how the fuck did we win that game".
Special thanks to the Lakers for stopping to play on offense and just shooting contested 3s at the end of the fourth quarter.

But seriously if we play a good game we win by double digits tonight. So many things to clean up, stupid mistakes, stupid turnovers, defensive breakdowns...
Also our 100 million dollars man needs to wake up.

But man, feels great to start 3-0.
