His Press Secretary made it on his behalf, but I really don't get caught up in all of that. At any rate, it doesn't really seem to matter what you say, or don't say, anymore. Detractors/supporters are huge on either side. Sure, DeSantis has his detractors. He has his supporters, as well. At this point, I'd say more supporters, than not. Is it all politically motivated? Who's to say. https://forward.com/news/522802/desantis-antisemitism-jewish/
Hitler had supporters as well. So does Putin. Again, if he's not publicly condemning Nazis then he's courting them. He's had ample opportunity to do so and you can't find one direct quote. That should tell you something.
In that article, DeSantis had/has support from conservative Jews. I'm not so sure Hitler had support from Jews of any type. Bringing Putin into the equation is nonsensical. Point the finger at DeSantis all you'd like. He's not a Jew hater.
That's partially why I said this: ......it doesn't really seem to matter what you say, or don't say, anymore. Detractors/supporters are huge on either side.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_German_National_Jews There were in fact Jews that supported Hitler, and as per the Wiki article: So yes, although I don't think DeSantis is anywhere near as bad as Hitler, he doesn't have, nor does he cultivate, the same kinds of cult of personality that Hitler had. But the fact is dangerous people are even more dangerous when they are in power, which is what concerns people about DeSantis.
When did I say he hated Jews? Why are you changing the subject? He is refusing to condemn Nazis. It's that simple. It doesn't matter who supports him because we have proof that selfish and bigoted people will support evil people.
His office (on DeSantis' behalf) completely condemned anti-semitism. What you're saying is, because it appears this didn't come straight from his mouth necessarily means he has no problems with it. From the article I posted: .....Pushaw later tweeted, “@GovRonDeSantis has ALWAYS condemned antisemitic attacks & hatred, and he always will. To suggest otherwise is just plain wrong. I am confident that Florida law enforcement will respond appropriately and justice will be served to any protester who violates the law.”
I saw above. I don't see DeSantis condemning Nazis as was claimed. This is not a difficult thing to do, yet he is refusing to do it.
Many of you highly dislike (even hate?) Ron DeSantis, both, as a politician and/or a human being. By the same token, I support the man and would vote for him were I to live in Florida full-time. In these efforts, I'll continue to support and make posts about him. After all, this is a DeSantis thread. YMMV.
There are people who think they're smarter than they really are (coughcough)...that's not something you can debunk.
I don't know him personally. I know he refuses to condemn Nazis who are stumping for him. I know he has no problem lying to desperate people and spending millions of taxpayer dollars sending these poor people who had to flee their home on a cruel trip thousands of miles from the a mandatory appointment he scheduled them, which if they missed could make them ineligible to receive the help they desperately need. He has no problem trying to harm people who are not harming or threatening anyone else. Feel free to keep posting about and supporting him. I have yet to see anything good about the man. So don't be surprised when people associate you with his despicable behavior as they have done with Trump and Walker.
