the Beaver defense just couldn't make a play on that 90 yard drive. Really needed that 3rd & 5 stop on the UW 8 yard line
...no, what they really needed to do was take the two easy FGs in the 1st quarter when they already had the lead on the road! Idiotic play calling by J.Smith -- I love most everything about him as a HC, but he has proven to be rather suspect with his game management and in-game decision making over the years. Beavs really should have won this game...just like the USC game
Just when you think the Beavs are moving in the right direction. Not that the Ducks get to brag yet. They still have to avoid upsets and run the table. History is not in their favor.
Still pretty pissed about that loss. USC and at Washington would have been huge program wins. Going to leave a bad taste in my mouth at the end of the season.
Nix has 2 rushing TDs, but they have actually done a credible job limiting him on the ground. (under 20 yards for the game)
Alabama loses here. Tennessee loses another one. Clemson loses today. Michigan takes care of an overrated Ohio st team and I think Oregon will control their own destiny. Lots of if’s. But there is lots of meaningful football left to be played. Lots of moving and shaking left to be had.
probably; LSU might jump Oregon though. but as a Duck fan I kind of hate all the playoff chatter. The Duck defense is highly suspect. They have big hole in the pass defense and their 3rd down defense is terrible. The chances they'll win 4 in a row against UW-->Utah-->OSU-->USC (UCLA) is pretty small
The way they’re moving the ball they could easily beat any of those teams. None of them are world beaters. Even Joel Klatt who is a well respected voice in college football says this offense is as good as any Oregon has had including the Chip Kelly years.
