The Blazers just lost two to a team without a winning record.

Yes, but who also drafted that young star at 24 when most people wouldn't have had the guts to? ("we need a win-now wing like Jacob Evans!") Does that not get included? He botched the 2017 draft. Crushed the 2018 draft. Drafting Ant was the equivalent of turning a late 1st into Hart and Grant since it gave them a CJ replacement and allowed them to turn CJ into those two. Of course, Cronin (plus Dame's recruiting) helped seal the deal, but those contacts are gone and Ant is a stud, so if we're talking about the current state of things...

Green's a fringe NBA player who just suffered a major injury and Brooks is an inefficient (50TS%) chucker who doesn't create for others. Why would you trade a 23-year old stud for that? We already have a problem with a lack of shooting and you need high-level scorers/shot creators which are extremely hard to come by, let alone guys on a less than MAX extension at 23 years old.

I know the ORtg DRtg are not the end all be all for how well a player is defensively, but Brooks is not really that much different than Simons is in relation to both having negative OR to DRtg's.

Trading Simons for 2 expiring contracts, one of which is of someone who is at the tail end of his career (and was a fringe player to begin with), would be the biggest and stupidest thing the team could do.

I swear, sometimes this place is nuttier than squirrel shit.

I'm offended that no one has made a SlyPokerSquirrel moniker.

Not really, most great scoring 2-guards are bad defensively. Obviously defense needs to get better but there's other positions that can be addressed and hopefully GPII helps.

What is up with this guy? Just wanted to sign the biggest contract he could find and then meander?
